@Anushka730 – So I used Becker to study for all the different sections. I did the FastPass program. In terms of studying for AUD, I suggest avoiding memorization. What you want to do is really understand how the different controls and other elements in audit work together and affect each other. I think most people try and memorize everything instead of understanding how they work and as a result it bogs them down in answering questions because they have to pull up whatever they've memorized and then they're not sure it's right. If you understand the material, it is far more valuable. I know that after studying with Becker, I was able to finish the exam with 35 minutes to go; so I left early. I have worked in audit (a few years ago) for 8 months, so that might have helped me since many audit concepts are kind of abstract to those who haven't had the opportunity to apply them. Best of luck next time around.

Okay, I'm new at this forum thing, so please forgive anything I do wrong. Have some info on how the NC board does its grades. They actually do mail the grades out to us within one business day of receiving them from NASBA. Sometimes there is a delay because of when they get the grades (like if FedEx shows up at 5 pm). Sometimes there is a delay because a CONGRATULATIONS letter has to be signed. They do NTSs by email but not grades because of some kind of restrictions put on them by the people that run the board (not the people who work there). Some of the customer service isn't all that great depending on who you talk to but the receptionist has been helpful to me and I have talked to the director (?) too and he (Mick? Mike?) was nice and said to let him know if I had any more problems with the person in exams.

@cpagirl1986- We will most likely start seeing the score releases for Wave 2 around September 15th. BEC will be the first set of Wave 2 scores released; followed by AUD, FAR, and REG.

Meant to say….glad to hear I don't have to wait too long. I want to reschedule BEC asap if I didn't pass. I crammed to take BEC in this testing window because I was sure I failed FAR. But it turned out that I passed FAR, so all that worrying was for nothing. Just have to pass BEC and REG before 5/31/2011 because I can not take auditing again especially with the international incorporated into the materials.

Well I just got back from BEC and feel like I was hit by a bus. Honestly, I felt like Becker's questions were easier than the actual exam. I am hoping that I can just get a 75 and be done with this whole process.

    FAR - 86, REG - 93, AUD - 87, BEC - 86

@hm890- That's weird that you felt that way. When I took BEC, I felt that it was way easier than Becker's questions. I guess I may have gotten an easier exam. In any case, good luck!

The AICPA loves to start score releases on a MWF schedule and has been pretty late in the month with releases recently (started on the 18th this month). I would predict the BEC release for September to be either the 15th, 17th, or 20th. Most likely the 17th or 20th. Meaning NASBA people would have their scores either Monday night (20th) or Tuesday night (21st). Looks like I'm not the only one waiting on BEC to be done with this thing. I sure hope it's over. Considering I only marked about 5-10, 10, and about 5, I'm hoping that's enough to pass. I know it will be close for me, but I just hope I got that 75 so I can finally put those letters behind my name! Test was a little strange for me, quite a mix between very easy and very difficult. Don't know if I really feel good or bad about the test. Good luck to everyone.

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

@RinaL I know I thought it was weird too. I think part of the problem is that I over studied and everything was a jumbled mess in my head. I have a feeling I'll be taking this one again 🙁

    FAR - 86, REG - 93, AUD - 87, BEC - 86

Just took BEC and it wasn't that bad except that it sucked! Haha, just kidding. I went in as unprepared as one can be. I never read B-5 but I did go over the highlighted stuff twice. Plus, I didn't do any of the MCs for B-5 nor did I do any of the supplemental question for any chapters. But I can proudly say that I could figure out most of the B-5 questions on the exam, they weren't too difficult, just common sense allocation/variance stuff. There were about 5 questions I just picked a number for because I didn't even know what formula to use or my calculation just didn't match their choices. However, I hope I can somehow get that 75! I'm so glad this window is closed now, ahh. Going on vacation tomorrow and will try to forget this horrible 2 months. Expecting 3 scores in wave 2, hope AICPA gets it out soon!
