Good luck to everyone waiting on scores! Just a few more days of waiting! Fingers crossed for a 75, otherwise it's going to be quite a blow right before testing for FAR.

    AUD 82, REG 85, BEC 80, FAR 76, Ethics 98

    FREEDOM!!!!

oobaisi – i am in the same boat as you! i am definitely starting to lose focus with FAR because i know scores for BEC are coming out soon and because i just don't wanna study anymore. 2 1/2 more weeks…

i have about 14 more hours with the Yaeger DVDs left and then i need to review until the exam. this depresses me

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

I don't know if it's even a good idea to check the score with FAR right around the corner. I'm just to the point of being burnt out, and still have two more chapters of Becker to cover before my final review…

    AUD 82, REG 85, BEC 80, FAR 76, Ethics 98

    FREEDOM!!!!

10 days to study for BEC, any advice on how to tackle it?

Pray! I just took the test this morning after 10 days of studying. I registered about 35 hours over 9 days (took one day off) It's definitely possible, but there were some WEIRD questions that I didnt see in review. I skipped reading the chapters completely, and went straight to the lectures. Did every question that was in the book though.

I would say that I didnt feel as prepared as I have in the past, or as prepared as I would liked to have been. However, if you feel you can finagle an answer to a financial management question, or reason your way through an IT or Econ question, you have a shot. (Can't say for sure until I get my score back)

    If you are using Becker

    1. Business Structure – straight forward worth about 20%

    2. Econ — lots of material only worth about 10% – hit the highlights and move on – many of these topics are things you most likey are familiar with

    3. Finance – mix of theory and calculations – 20%

    4. IT – worth 25% – theory

    5. Cost /Management – theory and calculations 25%

    I would quickly go through 1, 2 and 4

Focus more time and attention on 3 & 5

Write down the key formulas and read over them a few times

Work the concept of a calculation a couple of times and know what you are doing not just that the correct choice is __

If you are using Becker – the more complex problems are from the CMA exam and won't be on the exam due to time constraints.

Do a 20 MCQ progress quiz every day

Watch the time on the exam

    Good luck!

Thnx for the advice, I am using Becker and went through Business Structure without a problem, scored around 90 percent on the questions, so i may only go over it one more time before the test, I also went through IT because along with Business Structure, they are the shortest sections. I found it to be pretty easy as well. So I am gonna have to focus on 3 and 5 the most, from what i can see its alot of formulas and tricky. one question though, Becker has very little questions on IT, Does anyone use questions from other prep courses for this part of exam?

You are making great progress! Gleim Prep Test – purchase onine for under $60 and can use right away. I like to use it in the study mode – solutions are provided after every question.

I found it helpful to T account the Purchases, Cost of Mfg, Cost of Goods Sold – just be sure you know what the question is asking to pick the right number from the T account.
