Chapters 3, 4 & 5 are worth the most points. Chapter 3 & 5 are the toughest. Chapter 4 is IT. Chapter 1 is straight forward. Econ – just hit the highlights – it is only 8 – 10% of the test points. Go to Becker and update your software and download any text updates. If they change things sometimes they reprint a lot of the pages – don't let it intimidate you.

There are no sims. Some people have a lot of calculations – others not so much.

Many of the more difficult long problems come from the CMA exam – good learning tools but you won't have anything that involved on the test. I found the Gleim testbank a good addition to Becker – you may not have time for it. If you feel the need for more IT questions Gleim had good coverage. It cost under $60 for an online download.

It is a fair but tough exam.

I plan on doing B1, and maybe part of B2 and take this weekend off.

The becker MCQs really help.

There were two questions on my AUD exam today that were exactly word-for-word in the becker software, even the position of the right answer.

I remember getting them wrong the first time in becker. Free points that I got!

I don't mind calculations at all.

My friend, who was my auditor when I worked as controller in a company in NY (talk about independence….lol), told me that BEC is a piece of cake, but then he passed it the third time….I guess he just said that because he's studying for FAR now….

i hope all is ok with your family situation. so how did AUD go with your cramming session? any advice? keep me posted on your BEC progress too! I am taking REG 8/12 and going to cram in AUD and BEC by the end of this month (neither of which I started studying for).

All is not ok, but slightly better than a week ago, so I don't complain.

Obviously I don't recommend cramming for AUD the way I did.

I already had a 2-week study program and I had to lose the last week. It was a contingency situation.

I studied a lot on my flight back home and I think that helped a lot. I'm telling you, studying on a plane is ideal! 🙂

I can't focus on studying my next part (Audit 8/29) and my head is full of BEC (i took it in July). Are we expecting the BEC score to be released this week? Good luck to everyone who is also expecting this.

Forgot to mention this yesterday. If you write down the key formulas for ECON – you will notice there is a a pattern to several (3 maybe 4) – it may cut down on the time it takes you tomemorize them new-old/old

Vampire CPA – you will most likely be in wave 2. the cut off for wave 1 was august 6 or 7. you will find out your BEC score probably 3rd week of September!

Well my BEC Exam was something. Well I left the testing center a little short breathed because it came down the final minutes trying to work on a couple problems i marked for review. Not to mention a hot girl was just signing in as I walking out and also taking the exam (any females take BEC yesterday in CA??? Hit me up. lol)

Back to the exam, my first testlet was tough, took almost an hour!! Second was easier (think I marked 2 problems for review, vs the first one i think i had at least 10!), Third was okay but like i said i was beating for time. I didn't really see anything that wasn't covered in Becker or Yaeger, my complaint (like any exam), they make us study for so much information and test us on what 5% of the total material? oh well, overall i think i did good but who knows, if i made the wrong guesses on those problems which they will grade heavy, guess I'll making another BEC trip. After the exam, I went to the casino for some drinks (after all I traveled 2-3 hrs for this exam lol
