Meowmix77MemberWhat materials are you using? If you're using a review course with an outline, try to do a chapter a week (hopefully in less). I broke BEC down into 3 parts (cost accounting, Econ, and IT), but obviously spend the most time in cost accounting. That area is usually the most challenging so try to devote a lot of effort to that. If you get questions wrong during practice, make sure you revisit them the following day. Ask yourself if you actually understood the material and why you got it wrong. It really helps.
My best advice is to do a set of 24 cumulative MCQ (just like on the exam) a day ON TOP of the material you are studying.
Becker
AUD: 98 (4/13)
BEC: 84 (5/13)
FAR: 91 (7/13)
REG: 91 (8/13)October 16, 2013 at 8:42 pm #459800

AmayMemberI passed BEC back in 2010 after sitting for it twice. I am starting over this year to finish this whole thing once and for all. This will actually be the 4th time I take BEC. It was the first exam I ever studied for and I have definitely learned the hard way how to study for this exam. If I had 6 weeks to study I would do 2 weeks lectures, 2 weeks MCQs, 1 week rewriting and really learning those formulas and exam tricks, and the last week doing non-stop MCQs by topic, 20 at a time. I like the NINJA method because I proved it with AUD, and I even skipped the lectures for that one. It works!
BEC: 73, 81
AUD: 85
FAR: 71, 77
REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

AnonymousInactiveSorry cadlemassisawesome, but I would say that method doesn't work for many. Thanks though. haha
Meowmix77, thank you for the advice. I am using Becker and my goal is to get through 1-2 sections a week so that I will have enough time to review. I will definitely start doing a set of cumulative MCQs a day. I always find that by the time I finish reviewing all the material I have already forgotten the first half of what I reviewed. Hopefully this will help me stay fresh on the older material.

AnonymousInactiveWell I would say partially why it worked for me was because I would bring my phone to work and do multiple choice questions so I got a lot of extra studying done. I don't know if Becker allows you to use it on your phone.
