    Hi everyone,

I have failed BEC twice. I scored 67 amd 70. Since I am very bad in wtritting, I have not done any of the wriiting at all. My question is, Should I study writting which will take me a couple of months, or should I rather use this time to study the multiple choice and try to get a 75 without any writting?

    Please help!

I am trying very very hard!

The chances of you getting every question correct on MC is very low. It's possible, but very hard to do.

I would work on both your MC and especially your writing. The format is pretty much the same. The info doesn't even have to be accurate as long as your format is okay.

As a CPA, you'll need to be able to clearly explain verbally and in writing complicated issues to clients (or you boss). You'll need it for your future so start working on it now.

I don't mean to be harsh, but in your post, you misspelled the word “Writing” 4 times. Ironic to say the least.

That alone will lose you a lot of points on the written simulations on BEC.

Basically, you need to eliminate ALL spelling, punctuation and syntax errors right off the bat, and I mean 100% of them!

Then, just use the old high school English 101 format for an essay: Intro paragraph (2-3 sentences) re-stating the issue posed to you. Support paragraph (2-3 sentences) explaining how you would remedy the issue or propose ideas. Conclusion paragraph stating that your proposal will resolve the client's issue.

Your facts and data can be wrong, but the format is what you are being graded on.

Gotta knock out this 15% on BEC to give yourself some leeway on the MCQs.

    BEC - 82
    AUD - 65; retake Feb 2013
    FAR - April 2013
    REG - July 2013?

do not repeat that you are bad at writing. Just keep writing and when doing so pay attention to spelling and format. Also use as many technical “buzz” words as possible.

What I did: I spent 30 days reading daily all the written communications in the Wiley book during my commute over and over and over. When it was time to write all the words and format just appeared automatically. Yo hablo español and I was able to pass.

    Good luck.
