Long story short: I started my CPA Journey in 2011, passed regulation luckily with Becker because I skipped a whole chapter due to time limitation. Then I went back to school to finish my Master degree and got myself a full-time accounting job upon graduation. I tried to pass FAR and AUD after REG and failed with a 71 and 68, respectively. I think my mistakes were I barely finished watching lectures&reading books the day before my exam and didn’t practice enough MCQs and final exams.

So after I failed, I went on Youtube searching CPA motivation and I found Jerry Elliott’s video. That’s how I found this forum. I read so many motivated stories on this forum, esp Peanut (u’re my hero), and want to be one of them. Here is my game plan to pass the exam and become a CPA in 2012.

I ordered Becker final review and flashcard (employer is paying) and developed my study plan for BEC. I’m going to finish all the lectures&homeowrk&simulations and leave two weeks for my final review so I can re-work all homework questions & simulations, take the final exams, and work on Becker final review the week before the exam.

I plan to take my BEC on 4/10, FAR on 5/11, and Aud on 5/31 so I can retake any parts I fail in July/Aud before I lose my Reg credit in the end of August. Please provide me some advices on my plan… I will post my daily/weekly progress here.

What I've learned through out this journey is that, this is not about intelligence (although it helps) it's about endurance… And discipline is the pivotal key to pass this test… You really have to put in quality time and good study to make it happen! If you do that, the CPA title will be yours.

How did REG go? Did you pass? Hope you did… Cheering for you! 🙂

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84
