I just started watching the BEC Yaeger Homestudy videos. Is it just me or does Cindy talk REALLY fast?? Sometimes, she talks a little too fast that she eats up her words and stutters a few times. This forces me to constantly hit the pause button and rewind a lot. Due to all of this, I was only able to watch an hour and a half of lecture last night and it took me a whopping 4.5 hours to get through that. That’s the longest it ever took me to get through Yaeger’s videos. Something tells me that these 24 hours of lectures will be quite time consuming to get through. Thankfully, these will be the last set of lectures I’ll ever have to watch.

Anyone else feel the same way about Cindy? Mind you, I’m not knocking her as she’s a a very intelligent woman. If only she would slow down in her talking, I think the lectures would have turned out 100 times better.

It took me a couple lectures to get used to her speed but eventually you adapt to it! Did you use Yaeger for FAR? I just ordered it and am wondering how it is.

I used the 2009 HomeStudy for FAR since I've been trying to pass that beast since 2009. I then purchased their CRAM course to update myself on the changes. Cindy was a lot better in 2009 in terms of speed. It seems that over the years, she has become an extremely fast talker.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a hard time keeping up with Cindy! I think she is a great teacher but I had to hit pause so many times to get my notes written down. By the end of the lecture I feel like she really covered alot of material though…getting my money's worth. lol. She has fantastic tips too! My only other gripe with this BEC lecture is that she reads from the book a good deal and I would rather her enhance with more examples or expand on the material that I already read.

I agree. Cindy does talk too fast. I have to pause and listen again many times so it gets a bit tiring because an hour lecture takes 3 hours. But she is very smart and knows the material inside out. Wish she could slow down a bit.

I just got through the Economics module and I must say, Cindy is an excellent reader. Sheesh!!! She basically just read the module. My goodness. Sorry, I hate to put her down because she seems like a lovely woman, but seriously! I don't pay $400 for a course just to have someone read the darn book to me.

With FAR, AUD, and REG, there was a lot of fluff they removed from the book which really helped. But with BEC, Cindy is just reading the whole book to us. I think with BEC, people will be better off just buying the Wiley book and just reading it on their own. Should save you a ton of cash. Seriously, this is just disappointing!!

Agreed, I am 3/4 of the way through Module 43. ALL SHE DOES IS READ FROM THE BOOK!! Yaeger REG and AUD were great review courses. If I would have started with Yaeger BEC I would have switched to Becker. She is leaving out huge sections of review from IT and from Micro and Macro…I am very dissatisfied with Yaeger BEC.

Did anyone who reads this use Becker for BEC? Any feedback is helpful.

I finished all the HomeStudy videos. I'm going over my notes now and doing Gleim questions. I still have to watch her July update videos, which is 2 hours. So, I'm not done yet with the videos. But I'd rather concentrate on studying these modules first and I'll watch those updates later. I can't stand to watch anymore of those videos.
