BEC writing simulation

On the writing simulations, is it terrible to write a lot. I see a lot of memos typically have around 3 paragraphs and 3 sentences and I followed this on my first exam and did better than the person scoring in the 75-80 range. Would it be bad to write a lot (say 15-20 sentences) if a topic can be expanded a lot. I’m currently looking at a wiley test bank simulation and it seems like I could write 3 paragraphs that prolly include 5-7 sentences. A little could potentially be off topic but for the most part would stick to the topic at hand.

I think i’m overthinking the writing simulations but just wondering if maybe a little less BS and more of just sticking to the point is better .I just worry about being too brief in 9 sentences and not explaining the topic fully. thanks for any advice.

I wrote as much as I could and included as much detail as I could. One of them was probably 5 paragraphs, 20-25 sentences. I ended up scoring above average on the written simulations. I would say give as much detail as you can.

    BEC - 84, 4/6/13
    AUD - 77, 5/28/13
    REG - 83, 4/12/14
    FAR - 83, 10/3/13

    Ethics - 90% 4/24/13

Remember a computer grades those, so I would say the more the better. As long as it makes sense, it is relevant to the topic, and you are including enough of those keywords, it can't hurt!

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

It's my understanding that they evaluate on a need-basis. For example, if you fall in the BEC “bubble” where you are borderline in your score, they will have an actual person look at your writing portion.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

Humans only grade the written communication if you're in the bubble (which I think I've heard is 70-74, but don't quote me on that).

I suggest that you can read the tips from CPA review for free before your test. I and my huddy both used it and it worked great!

It doesn't matter your answer is 100% correct but must be clearly and logically. It also provided a couple of templates so if you don't have enough time to practice, you can use it during the test.

I thought Bubble is for 72-76 range…:P I thought I was in bubble since my score came out later than other same test window fellows. 🙂 Waiting was suffering but at least the result was not bad~~~

    AUD-73, 73, 73, 79!!
    BEC-77!
    FAR-60, 83!
    REG-66, 72, 75!
