    Hi All,

I need to know which exam would be passable between BEC and REG if I have only 4 weeks to study for. I have BA in Economics.

    Regards

    AUD - 82p
    FAR - 69, 72, 75p
    BEC - 09/2012
    REG - 10 or 11/2012

Using CPAExcel, Gleim for SIMs, and Red Bull

I would say BEC hands down… Learning that tax stuff will take more than 4 weeks to grasp… With that said, I know ppl that struggled with BEC but passed REG with 6 weeks of studying… Well they barely passed REG but a pass is a pass.

BEC is definitely your best bet. Obviously with a BA in econ you shouldn't have trouble with that part of the section if you just do a quick review. REG can get pretty complex for only 4 weeks.

    AUD-Failed (Waiting for Score)
    BEC-PASSED (First try)
    REG-Failed (Retake February 2013)
    FAR-Failed (Retake January 2013)

BEC for sure. I was an Econ major as well and I found BEC to be the easiest for me to grab concepts in a short amount of time. Good luck!

BEC for sure, unless you are hand over heels in the tax industry already.

    FAR - 85 November 2011
    AUD - 81 January 2012
    REG - 68 March 2012
    BEC - 86 April 2012
    REG - 92 July 2012

    BEC any day.

I'm currently studying REG and I feel like I'm learning Latin or some crazy foreign language. Corporate tax can suck a fat one.
