I was thinking about trying to sit for another exam before this Aug window closes. I just took FAR in July waiting for my score, so I figured why not study for another exam. The only problem is, I got lazy and wasted 2/3 weeks of study time in July. As much as I liked the time off, I feel like I just wasted an opportunity to sit and try to pass another exam. Anyway, im trying to figure out if I have time (i guess really only 4 weeks left in August) to take 1 exam and was curious to see what people thought. Is BEC or AUD more doable in the short time period?

I started studying for BEC today and my exam is scheduled for August 30th. I think it is doable (or at least I am hoping so). It took me 6 weeks to study for AUD and the material for BEC seems less voluminous.

Are you studying full time?

If so, either one is a good choice.

Audit is all theory, but you should know how to do basic journal entries. Working tons of MCQ's and memorizing the concepts should work. BEC has calculation…….most of them are fairly easy, but if you are not comfortable with the material, it might take you some time to understand.

If you have the review materials handy, read the topics on both books and make your choice.

I work full time, but I would normally study every night after work say 6-10/11. Then I would free up the weekends to study as much as possible. I figured BEC might take a little more time in case the computations, etc would take a little longer for me to grasp.. but I guess I just need to compare the two books and see if I can tell which one will give me a harder time.

IMOP. Try aud, BEC is not easy by any means that's why the material is smaller. Aud is all theory, it can be done in one month with a big effort. Why not try its only money.
