I am taking BEC at 9 tomorrow morning also. I studied using Becker and got a 77% on the second practice test. Has anyone taken it and the real exam and know if thats enough? Also, have any suggestions for last minute studying? I know I am comfortable with the math. I don’t know how best to attack the conceptual holes.

    AUD: 2/22/14
    BEC: 92
    FAR: 85
    REG: 89

You should at least download the free ninja notes: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-study-plan/

I didn't take any practice tests and pulled an 86 on exam day. (They help some people, but they're not my cup of tea because they cause me to freak out for no good reason.) I am aware that most review courses tend to make their practice exams more challenging, so I'm sure your 77 is a good indication that you are prepared, assuming the questions were all new to you. For last minute studying, I focused on formulas and IT definitions. There is no worse feeling than walking into an exam and not being able to recall a specific formula that you could have remembered if you reviewed it on exam day. When it comes to strenuous concepts such as cost accounting, I don't believe that any of that should be looked at during your exam-day review. As far as concepts go, I strongly recommend using your own outlines and/or NINJA Notes. This was the best way for me to see if I really understood what I was trying to learn for exam day.

My exam is tomorrow as well and I'm not as worried about the MCQs as I am about the written portion. I'm banking on my ability to write coherent, business-sounding memos, and hoping the subject areas I'm given aren't totally foreign to me.

If I were you, though, I'd be hitting the sack soon and getting some solid sleep. I'd rather wake up early and cram than stay up late and cram.

    Good luck!

I took BEC on Friday. Used Becker. I thought the test was ridiculous, and 35%+ of it wasn't even in the Becker book or lectures. I could use process of elimination on most to get it down to 2 or 3, but after that it was a guess. I couldn't even find some of the question topics in the glossary or definitions. I know it isn't a product of me studying, because I read every page, listened the lecture, and summarized all the highlights by writing them out. This method got me a 99 on Audit.

Did anyone else have this issue?

    AUD - 99 (10/18/13)
    BEC - ?? (11/22/13)
    REG - ?? (01/10/14)
    FAR - ?? (sometime spring 2014)

You don't have a lot of time to learn new material, so just review your notes especially on your weak areas. Think about your timing tonight. You'll want to plan about 45 min for each testlet. 3 hours goes by very fast. Look over examples of written communications and maybe try one. Don't worry too much if its perfect, but check to see how long it takes you. It should only take you about 15 mins or so. I think attempting a WC in advance can give you a good idea on how much time it actually takes.
