I took BEC today and I gotta say that alot of the questions were completely out of left field (words and concepts I had never heard of before) as well as questions that were very very minor topics in Becker. I left the test being like why the hell did I even study all that time for this test when I basically used none of it on the test. BEC was by far the hardest for me to grasp however I put in alot of time to learn the concepts I cant believe some of the questions I got. Anybody have a similar experience?

I am trying to feel better its just so depressing, I really thought this was going to be my last exam. I am not holding out any hope of passing but its still going to be miserable waiting for a month for my score.

I was so thrown off by some of the questions I think I even messed up on the stuff I did know.. just a bad day…now i have to wait til after busy season to be done… 🙁 🙁 I would rather take AUD or FAR 100 times…

Gah. Yeah I really don't know how I feel about that exam. I did all the Becker MCQ and Wiley MCQ twice! Any calculation that I did get, I definitely got right. And questions I got, that were on topics covered by Becker & Wiley I feel like I answered correctly… It was just all of the random theory questions on things I hadn't' heard of! Came out of no where. I really have no hopes for this exam. This is how I've felt before, and the outcomes were not good. Any wise words of wisdom for AUD? That's a pretty 85 you have over there lol

well AUD for me was actually really easy I finished the test with 2 hours to spare. I am an auditor so I didn't have to study much at all, I just watched the lectures and took a couple practice exams.

I would say don't under-estimate the international stuff. If you have a good grasp of auditing you should be okay 🙂

When I took BEC, there were questions on the exam that I literally had to Google afterwards because they were not in the book. I am a pretty high-strung individual and I remember laughing and rolling my eyes at some of the questions because they might as well have been written in Russian! I remember thinking to myself, “Well, I guess I can just take this again.” And somehow I passed. I also remember laughing when I found out I passed!

Just get the questions right that you know and don't fret about the ones you don't! Easier said than done, I know!

I hope everyone passes this horrible exam. Best of Luck! I am still waiting on my score, but it was definitely harder than the 1st exam I took back in July. I say “harder” because I did not recognize any of the material. I hate this feeling. Hopefully we all pass at can put it behind us 🙂 . (crossing fingers and toes)

I completely understand what you are saying. This is my second time taking this and I am doubfounded at why they would ask such crazy questions. I really think that no study material can ever prepare me for the exam that I was given today 🙁
