    Hello everyone,

Can you guys provide me with any tips/advice for these last 10 days before I take BEC?

I feel very comfortable with the majority of the topics, have read the chapters and done the MCQs like 5-6 times and I’m running out of ideas about what to focus on. Enlighten my way please. Thank you.

I was awful at remembering formulas. So my advice is to KNOW the formulas. Good Luck!!

    Rewrite your notes.

    BEC - 11/25/08-61, 8/31/09-76*, 2/24/12-76
    AUD - 2/21/09-53, 8/31/10-60, 11/30/11-83
    REG - 11/30/09-68, 5/31/12-79
    FAR - 8/29/11-81

    IL Ethics - 93

Definitely do a “top skim” of everything so that you get the easy questions right. There were a handful of super easy questions that were so simple that I would have cried if I didn't take that extra high level over the material. I didn't have Jeff's ninja notes back then, but I bet they would be a good thing to have.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

    CPA Class of 2012 🙂

    Thanks for the tips everyone.

I already know the majority of the formulas.

I also have the Ninja Notes and have read them like 4-5 times.

    I'm just praying I get “easy” questions..lol..

Do NOT rewrite your notes with 10 days. Not enough time. Top skim and review everything like previously mentioned. Once you are skimming you will realize what is important, and make sure you understand those important topics. Do 20Q Wiley tests in study mode. Look at the key phrases for writing communication and you are set.

@bcc624..Thanks for the tips. I was not planning on rewriting my notes cuz I'm too lazy. I'm actually reading over the Written Communication SIMS and just working MCQs from a few areas. I do not know why, but it seems like BEC is more difficult than FAR and AUD..

im in the SAME boat as you, I take BEC next Thursday. It seems to me as if BEC has really really easy questions (IT, ECON, ERM) and it would be a SHAME not get all those points. So im basically doing problems till my head bleeds, and every night I skim over everything once before bed. Also dont skip the writing part, maybe practice writing for a few hours. Memorizing all the formulas is daunting but I think if you do enough MCQs you should basically just get them down. Lastly Ive been using a TI83 just cause its easier then the stupid computer calculator, so for the next week I'm weaning myself off of it and using the calculator that I will have during the test just to get used to it..

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

    Audit 4/19/12 - 77
    BEC 5/31/12 - 75
    FAR 8/30/12

@KassiusKlay..yes, most of the material is very easy, but you just never know with this thing. Right now I'm focusing on formulas and some sections of cost acg. I plan on re-reading (skimming) the entire book and redoing most of the MCQs from CPAExcel as well as the 2011 and 2012 AICPA Released MCQs..passing BEC would be a wonderful pre-bday surprise..lol

My guess is that if I did all 90 MCQs in FAR in less than 2 hours, then it should not be a problem to do the same with the 72 MCQs in BEC…Good luck!!

If you have becker, then read the outlines for each chapter. I try writing down everything I know for each bullet point. I'm just realizing now that there are topics on those outlines that I can't remember so I'm going back to the book and research them.
