BEC test in a week, what to do?

I have my BEC test in 1 week and 3 days. I’m finishing my last Wiley section today.

My plan was to retype the notes and then begin the Wiley and CPAExcel MCQ runs. But I am already 1 day behind on my schedule. Adding to that is that I don’t think that the notes helped all that much for most sections giving me trouble…the computations.

Would you spike the note typing and just do MCQ’s over the next 10 days or proceed with my original plan? I’m thinking MCQs since the problems I am having with the MCQ’s weren’t covered in the text. Just not sure about either plan honestly.

@CPApending – Pick the study schedule that will benefit you the best, it all depends how much (free) time you have left, and whether you want to review what you learned already, or continue to learn new topics.. In either case, good luck to you..

I have my BEC in a week as well. Looks like we are in it together 😉

Well, do what works best for you. I've always felt that retyping notes is a waste of time, especially if you are proficient at the subject at hand.I think the best advice is to reread/work on problems from areas that you don't comprehend as well.

    It's a catch 22 really.

There are point to be picked up from retyping my notes on the writing SIMS, they typically require some discussion of adv/dis of some item or discussion of some list/process.

However, the notes I took the first time didn't help me with the computation questions as it seems that the format was much different than as presented in the notes.

I just don't know what to do…wondering if I shouldn't just reschedule to the first week in April.

I have been thinking of rescheduling as well, i only reviewed 2 chapters out of 5; but I think I will stick to Feb. How about you keep studying as if you were going to take it, and then decide?

    Mine is next Sunday!!!! AAAHHHH!!!

In my opinion, you should start working on MCQ's. I learn more doing MCQ's, I guess it is all about repetition. I started with Wiley test bank last Monday, and re-reading my notes at nights. Now most of the topics make sense. Will let you know if my plan worked Sunday evening 😉

    Done 😉
