    Okay so I want all suggestions on studying BEC….I’m at a loss on where to start… I’m thinking of just writing notes from the Becker book to start off with and mix in MCQs from Gleim.

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
    FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
    took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @ keeptrying – Sorry you felt that you need to change your signature but I wanted to tell you I'm right there with you. My name should be keeptrying2. I just looked up my breakdown on the NASBA site, hopefully it'll make you feel better.

    Ok I started back in 2002 so since then I sat for Business Law (yes you read that right) 4 times and Financial Accounting 4 times.

    Ok then the CPA Exam was computerized in 2004 so then I passed BEC on my 8th try in Febuary 2010, FAR on my 3rd try in August of 2009 and REG on my 1st try in January of 2009. Lost all those credit thanks to our friend Audit.

    Since I lost those credits I'm starting over. Now I passed REG on my 4th try and finally passed Audit on my 7th try. Last Friday went I sat for FAR it was my 2nd try since I lost the credit back in March and I'm working on my 1st try with BEC. I'm actually afraid of BEC since I had such a hard time with that exam in the past. I think we underestimate BEC for some reason, but let's get past that and kick BEC butt together. WE CAN DO IT!!!!

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

    @nolifecpa – I know exactly what you mean. Some people keep asking me “When are you going to be done?” I just say “When I pass all parts within the 18 month window.” See now I'm getting the question “Well you technically passed all parts now, does that mean you're done?” I keep going in circles with these people.

    Can't find the exact score. I wish I could just to see. I can only find how many times I've applied for the exams.

    @Keeptrying

    I'm so sorry you had that encounter. I'm sorry you changed your signature too. I haven't been here long, but I guess I'm lucky that I got in early enough to hear about your story. I've just taken my first section and there are times that I'm so overwhelmed with all the information and the impossibility of it all that I literally want to give up and walk away. Those of you (like Jomarie) who have persisted are absolutely amazing to me.

    I truly don't think anyone can have an appreciation for how hard this exam is unless they've tried to take it.

    @the rest of you Texans

    You guys are super lucky. I just recently found out about the Alamo Drafthouse theater. It looks like it rocks. I want to go to Texas just to eat dinner WITH a movie. Nearly everything's better in Texas. (You guys know that you're the envy of the nation and the happening spot, right? Well, the envy of those who can think and care about self-sufficiency anyway. I'd move there in a minute if my family wasn't here.)

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

    @keeptrying, I am sorry that you have people judging you for your multiple attempts. I for one respect you for your perseverance. This is a hard road to get to the CPA and I myself have had a few failures, quit for about 9 months and decided to try again. I know you will get this. Regardless of your signature, you are someone who should be respected for not giving up and following your dream. You have a lot of people on here rooting for you and if you ever need someone to help you understand a key point that you are not getting, count me in, I have a few old Becker study buddies that I instant message on yahoo with as a “study group”, my username is my yahoo name. You know they say it takes a village to raise a child, I think it takes a forum full of helpful people to pass the CPA, even if all you get from them is moral support and advice from reading their posts. They are the only ones who can truly understand what you are going through.
