I did it yet another way:

    3,000/10,000 = .3

    .3 x 15 = 4.5

    7.5 – 4.5 = 3

    3 x 10,000 = 30,000 favorable

    @CPAHopeful11,

I dont really know how it went. I think i was more confident coming out of FAR. I didnt have one of those “OMG what did i just take” tests like everyone experiences with BEC (which kinda worries me). To make it worse i looked up a question in my book and i know i got it wrong…it was such an easy question too. Idk if the testlets got harder. i had time to finish all the WC but they werent really related to BEC. Hopefully i can get some points from that though. Overall its going to be a close one.

oh yeah, also had a question straight from FAR

Were you good on the calculations? I'm worried about some of the long calculation problems from Ninja.

And yeah, I remember having a FAR question for BEC as well. That was my first ever and hadn't taken FAR yet so fair to say I was clueless. At least you just took FAR recently.

If you felt good answering the questions you probably passed.

i mean yeah i felt good on the calculations problems (most) some theory were tricky but i tried my best.

dont worry about long calculations, i didnt see any crazy long ones. know the concepts behind it

    just memorize the formulas!

its amazing how much you study and how little of it is on the actual exams.

Well said, and that's the most frustrating part. You think you are studying so hard, but then realize you spent hours and hours on topics that don't even get tested.

Did you use the research function for the WC?

you dont get it on the WC =/ or else i definitely f would have. one i knew. another i slightly b/s-ed and hopefully got credits with some key words. but one i had no idea i made up some fake names for it so i definitely wont get the full credit on that one.

Crap, that sucks but mainly they just want to see if you know how to write. All else fails, just use some words from the question Ha.

I'm sure you passed though. You thought for sure you failed FAR and ended up passing with a solid score.

yeah but i didnt make stupid mistakes on FAR (atleast that i can think of). I also didnt guess nearly as much on FAR. heres to hoping some questions were pretest questions.

I thought it was really difficult, some questions I had were definitely not covered extensively in my study material nor were there any practice questions similar. I think I did ok on the WC, two topics I felt pretty good about and the other I'm hoping I was able to throw in enough key words to do ok. I used almost the entire time, I think I had 10 minutes left when I finished which has never happened to me before so that makes me nervous. I also looked up an answer when I got home and I was incorrect, so that doesn't help. Overall, I felt pretty terrible when I left there but I haven't felt good about any of them. I really don't think I passed, hopefully I'm wrong! Now we wait!

@krissyagar I'm sure you'll get that passing grade you're rooting for!

I'm taking the exam next Friday I just went read/skimmed and did all of the Becker MCQ for the second time around. I'm going to focus on my weaker areas and do as many MCQ as I can from here on out, hopefully won't get too sick of this material before the exam!

Anything else I could be doing this last week beforehand?

I'm taking my exam next Thursday and will be going over my notes and doing a lot of MCQs. I'm going to do all the problems from the Wiley HW book as well. Oh yeah, I wrote down all the formulas on a blank printer paper and will get all those memorized.

I would say definitely memorize the formulas! I made flashcards just for that and it really helped. Other than that, I just did as many MCQ as I possible could leading up to the exam.

    Hello,

Has anyone ran into the following problem with Becker software:

I'm working on the section titled “Financial Decisions” under B6 and the first several questions aren't even remotely close to what was covered in the lecture. For example, the first 4 questions asked about probabilities. Thanks in advance!
