AGIParticipantjstay:
I already give up in asking if I will pass. I am doing last minute study on NINJA MCQ and keep getting 75…
I don't know if this is a good sign or a bad sign.
Ah..someone come tell me!
I hope I will get lucky and pass. Writing is one of my worst subject.

AGIParticipantHey Krissyagar,
I plan to have 45 minute.
MC to me is either I know or I don't know.
I actually don't expect I will need more than 45 minutes. The less time I have the better I can write?
I think I will run through them the same way how I type my office e-mails.
Basically, you write the same introduction and conclusion for all 3 of the writing. So you kinda copy and paste. That should take about 5 minutes?
I am planning to just get basic points for writing structure. I will “pass” on grammar and sentence structure.
I tried many times to learn good English grammar and sentence structure, but keeping up with three languages are hard.
Once I learn language A I forgot language B….
especially when they have totally opposite grammar and structure.

KrissyagarMemberThanks yellowsugar. I was thinking the same thing. I figure if I know the topic it should be no problem to construct a thoughtful response in 15 minutes. If I don't, hopefully I'll be able to come up with something in that time frame! 3 Languages?! Impressive!

AGIParticipantWell, if you can't squeeze out the answers, just write the introduction, body and conclusion. Mumble something in the body part that is kinda related to the question.
I don't think they will grade you on how well you know the answers. Basically, they just want to make sure you can read and write like a human being.
This is not SAT. I also don't think they will be very harsh on grammar.
Normal NINJA Forum writing should get you a pass?

Gatorgirl1231ParticipantThis is my 3rd attempt at retaking BEC, just barley missed it the last two times and I am taking it in 19 days.
Would you waste your time rewatching the Becker Lectures? For what I think will now be the 4th time?
Just curious about what other peoples study habits are, as I feel like this might be a boring, waste of time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

AGIParticipantI never use Becker, so I can't really tell you if it's useful or not.
If you missed by a few points, I don't think it's a lecture problem..
Personally I use Wiley, well, I should say I have the book, but I never read it. I only flip it when I need to.
I am not the type of people that can read textbooks after 8 hours of work. I can only study one hour during weekday, so I spent all the time on MCQ.
Since you have 19 days left. Means you have 18 days to study (pure play time 1 day before the test). Why don't you just do plenty of MCQs? If you do 72 questions per day you should be fine.
My study plan is to do 72 questions on weekdays and 72 X 3 on weekends.
VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION
… How is the BEC writing part? Is is hard? How much time do you think need to spend on the writing part?

AnonymousInactiveNo, I would not watch the lectures again but re-read your notes if you have taken any and do a lot of MCQs.
How do you do this question again?
Card Bicycle Co. has prepared production and raw materials budgets for next year. At the end of this year, the finished product inventory is expected to include 2,000 bicycles, and raw material inventory is expected to include 3,000 bicycle tires. Each finished bicycle requires two tires. The marketing department provided the following data from the sales budget for the first quarter:
Expected bicycle sales (units)
January
February
March
12,000
16,000
18,000
The company inventory policy is to have finished product inventory equal to 20% of the following month’s sales requirements, and raw material equal to 10% of the following month’s production requirements. In the January budget for raw materials, how many tires are expected to be purchased?
24,200
26,120
26,600
26,680

TarheelgirlMemberI just had this one. This is how NINJA answers it…
January production = Jan. sales + Desired ending inventory –
Beginning inventory
= 12,000 + (0.20 x 16,000) – 2,000 = 13,200 bicycles
February production = Feb. sales + Desired ending inventory –
Beginning inventory
= 16,000 + (0.20 x 18,000) – (0.20 x 16,000) =
16,400 bicycles
January purchases = Production needs + Desired ending inventory –
Beginning inventory
= (2 x 13,200) + (0.10 x 2 x 16,400) – 3,000 =
26,680 tires

AnonymousInactiveThanks, how are you at that portion? I just did a 80 question session on this section and it took me an hour and half. Ridiculous, but it takes forever to answer the questions.
