Alright, without looking at your notes/book….what are the 4 ways a corporation can handle risk?

I guess that will work 😉

    Accept – maybe your “ignore”?

    Avoid – maybe your “eliminate”?

    Reduce – maybe your “minimize”?

Someone riddle me this. I got my performance review back from NASBA and they said I was weaker than most on economics. While taking the test I kept wondering to myself when econ wpuld appear but it never did. How can I be weaker in something not there?

Checking in! For all my good intentions, I couldn't stop myself from playing outside in the sunshine rather than sitting inside studying over the last couple of months, so I put it all away until after Labor Day weekend. Now that the snow is flying up here (seriously, I know!), I'm thinking summer is officially over, and I'm back on the bandwagon. October 15, here I come!! 😀

@Zack The most important differences are between detective and preventative. The biggest question you need to ask yourself is “Will this keep a mistake from being made or will this catch it after it's been made?” If you have a computer control that won't allow duplicate invoice numbers… That is preventative. If you have a report that runs for all duplicate invoice numbers, that's detective because the mistake has already been made. Hope that helps!

Zack…..a lot of times the questions can can cover more than 1 category and you may not realize it. For example, a question could have looked mostly like a financial mgmt question but had little components of Econ. When I took the test the first time I scored stronger in Econ…2nd time around….weaker. Don't focus too much on the score report.
