Taking BEC July 10. Using Gleim. Who Else?

Probably taking around the same time. Planning to apply end of June to see what else I have to take after score releases. Currently taking a lightning speed pace in the event I have to retake REG I could do it this quarter again. If I pass REG at score releases I'll probably slow my roll a touch.

I'm also waiting on Reg score but have BEC scheduled for July 12. I figure I have enough time to retake Reg afterwards if need be, que sera sera.
Using Roger and might buy Ninja as well.

@itooshallpass that is what I would have done as well if I had initially applied for BEC when I applied for the other 3. I thought the 6 month window went into effect as of the apply date, not the approval date. Money is tight for us right now and I don't want to pay for 2 application fees because of my impatience, not in a good position to spend any extra money not necessary. How far in advance must you schedule the exam from the test date?

Disregard my last question. Scheduling must be at least 6 days out from exam.

I'm waiting on FAR and AUD in the 6/28 Score Release. Planning on taking REG in August after BEC and hopefully will be done.

@itooshallpass i'm doing the exact thing you are. I've only began and there's already so much mnemonics to remember. Hopefully REG stuff doesn't get pushed out too much before score release. Better yet, hopefully don't have to retake REG.

I used NINJA + Gleim testbanks for BEC (Roger as my primary), and must say NINJA's is a brain buster. Gleim tends to be the consensus bully with the MCQ banks but NINJA's BEC is something else. BEC ended up being my highest score (no way I'm getting near this in REG if I pass) but I think it was my lowest average and trending score for NINJA in BEC.

Gleim's COSO MCQs were extremely helpful, and both banks were solid for IT.

    @AF,

I'm sitting for BEC on 8/6 and also waiting on FAR and AUD scores for the upcoming score release. I have been using Gleim as my primary course and I supplemented REG And FAR with NINJA MCQs, AUD with Wiley MCQs, and will probably supplement BEC with Wiley MCQs.

I've been skipping around BEC with Gleim, but have covered Corporate Governance, COSO, IT, Per. Measurement, Budgets, and am working on Cost Accounting now.

So far my only gripe with Gleim for BEC is it seems like they are using CMA MCQs in some of the SUs that are super long and complicated, and not representative of what will be on the test. But that's the way Gleim is, so just gonna roll with it …

B4 module 2 in becker related to breakeven point and absorption and variance costing is one of the hardest multiple choice hw in BEC. I thought cost accounting mcq were easier than this module. The questions were insane. Did anyone else think this module was really hard? Also, breakeven point itself wasn't the issue for me it was all the other topics within it that I had no idea what I was doing in the hw.

Failing the CPA Exam has nothing to do with intelligence.

    It's all about perseverance.

There are people who passed all four sections the first time that you wouldn't want running a company.

Similarly – there are struggling CPA candidates, still scrapping, still in the fight, who barely make it out of the CPA Exam alive – who are future CEOs.

It has nothing to do with how “smart” you are.

Hey, did you pass FAR only using Ninja? If so, how is/did that go and what was your study strategy?

And foreign currency rates are back to torture me in BEC. Never really got them in college or FAR yeah gonna be a blast to try to learn this for the third time.
