Can anyone help me understand why are you adding in March's production here?

Card Bicycle Co. has prepared production and raw materials budgets for next year. At the end of this year, the finished product inventory is expected to include 2,000 bicycles and raw material inventory is expected to include 3,000 bicycle tires. Each finished bicycle requires two tires. The marketing department provided the following data from the sales budget for the first quarter:

    Expected Bicycle Sales (units)
    January: 12,000
    February: 16,000
    March: 18,000

The company inventory policy is to have finished product inventory equal to 20% of the following month's sales and raw material equal to 10% of the following month's production requirements. In the January budget for raw materials, how many tires are expected to be purchased?

    A.
    24,200

    B.
    26,120

    C.
    26,600

    D.
    26,680

January production = Jan. sales + Desired ending inventory –
    Beginning inventory
    = 12,000 + (0.20 x 16,000) – 2,000 = 13,200 bicycles

February production = Feb. sales + Desired ending inventory –
    Beginning inventory
    = 16,000 + (0.20 x 18,000) – (0.20 x 16,000) =
    16,400 bicycles

January purchases = Production needs + Desired ending inventory –
    Beginning inventory
    = (2 x 13,200) + (0.10 x 2 x 16,400) – 3,000 =
    26,680 tires

Spartan, if you're taking REG in 08/05/16, why don't you take AUD in 09/10/16. AUD has only 6 chapters compared to REG's 8. I know you can pass both of them this quarter!

Lynn Manufacturing Co. prepares income statements using both standard absorption and standard variable costing methods. For Year 2, unit standard costs were unchanged from Year 1. In Year 2, the only beginning and ending inventories were finished goods of 5,000 units. How would Lynn's ratios using absorption costing compare those using variable costing? Today I received an email from NASBA, they just be kidding with me, I'm gonna take the test on July 9, and my score release should be on August 4….and worst when continue reading found “Some candidates who take the BEC section might receive their scores approximately one week following the target release date due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks”…..

Are you kidding? so I will be more than a month maybe thinking which will be my score!!!!
