@mckan, feel free to post the questions on here may help break them down or something to make it easier to understand.

@Spartan- yeah I did because for some reason AUD had September test dates available and REG did not…. I'm scheduled for annual family vacation mid-July and there was just no way I could spend the ENTIRE vacation cooped up inside studying BEC to take as soon as I got home in August…. Switching bought me about 2 extra weeks…..and my husband some hope of a vacation without me obsessing and freaking out the entire time….

Feel certain I will be posting questions soon…. 🙂

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

WHY WOULD LETTER D (DSS) BE AN INCORRECT ANSWER?

A computer system that converts the inputs into data that allows management to make unstructured decisions concerning the company's future is:

    Select an answer:

    A.
    a transaction processing system.

    B.
    an office automation system.

    C.
    a strategic information system.

    D.
    a decision support system.

    THE ANSWER IS C.
    Explanation:
A strategic information system provides information that may allow an organization to make strategic, competitive decisions.
•Transaction processing systems support basic routine business functions.
•An office automation system is used by clerical personnel to process existing information.
•Decision support systems process semi-structured and unstructured problems.

What are the chances of actually getting a question on the DuPont ROE model??? I just don't want to cram this into my brain. Test is in three days.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker

Hi Tech Corporation is a California based company that has contracted with a separate company in India to handle its customer service call center. Hi Tech Corporation's practice is most accurately described using the term:
    a – Outsourcing.
    b – Globalization.
    c – Offshore operations.
    d – Shared services.

    Explanation
Choice “c” is correct. Offshore operations are the outsourcing of services or business functions to an external party in a different country. Hi Tech's decision to operate its call center out of India is an example of offshore operations.

Choice “a” is incorrect. Although Hi Tech Corporation is outsourcing, the best description of the practice of moving their call center to India is offshore operations because the outsourced service is actually being performed out of the country.

I am confused here, I thought outsourcing was contracting outside of the country.

    Can somebody please explain? Thanks,

trele6- There's always the chance any random formula can be asked, but I don't think it's an efficient use of my time to try and memorize every one of them. I've been through all the Ninja mcq's already and will try and memorize the ones that have consistently showed up.

@Papogator24, it was somehow a good experience but I can't be sure until I get the score! I felt the the exam testlets went easy, easy-medium, hard. But overall it was going good, I hope for a passing score anyway. Not yet posted my experience coz I had a lot to do today not yet have time to post my experience ☺

@Amor D, I think the key idea is DSS focus is more broad and when it comes to the company's future its about strategy or strategic management and that is literally what EIS is. So thats the best choice compared to DSS.
