AH4836ParticipantI sat on Feb 29 at 3 p.m.
More likely my score is on the bubble or my release date was pushed back to March 18th?

jessica8926ParticipantI took BEC for the first time in Feb and failed with a 71. I know I flopped on certain questions, but thankfully all the material I saw in the exam I had seen during my studies. Unfortunately, just did not have enough of a solid understanding of it all. Any suggestions or recommendations on how to go about restudying the material? I plan to retake April 7th and as the material is still fresh not sure where/how to start again?

MaLoTuParticipantApparently I won't get my score until at least tomorrow because the site is only updated once per day with communications from NASBA.
I wonder if that is true though because people were getting their scores all the way until almost 7am … which is over the course of an hour.
I am so anxious… I feel like crying and I don't cry!

cwlandersParticipant@ jennB88 I used Becker's videos and questions which I thought were great. I also used flashcards during my last weekend before I tested. I took about 8 weeks total (I work 50+ hours a week and am a full time MBA/Data Analytics student so you may not need to study that slowly) but I really just worked about 200 or 300 practice questions a night during my last week and woke up early before my exam and reviewed the whole Becker BEC book. I think it's hard to recommend any specific parts to study since the test is so broad (Probably half of the exam questions were even similar to the 1,000's I worked), but I think you should definitely make sure you can knock the written portion out of the park. Really that should be a free 15 points if you can put together a coherent discussion since you are graded more on format and writing skill than material. Good luck! Feel free to ask me any questions and I will try to help!

JennB88Member@cwlanders I have Wiley CPAexcel, Ninja notes (audio and MCQ) and listening to audio on the way to work while doing flash cards and notes around, sometimes during work day. I have 11 weeks until BEC part and wanted to know if I should run through Wiley proficiency questions now and flashcards like a week prior test?

cwlandersParticipant@JennB88 I'm sure that would be beneficial. I was watching lectures and doing homework for the first 8 weeks, then redid the homework for 2 weeks leading up to my test and then only did notecards the weekend before. Obviously people learn differently, but for me I didn't care too much for notecards, I only read through them each once and pulled out like 15 or 20 that I wanted to look at a second time before the exam. I like the dedication with listening to audio on the way to work! I relistened to an hour and a half lecture on COSO and governance on my way to Huntsville to take my test, you just have to make sure you are actually retaining the info because it was pretty easy to get distracted from the lecture with so much other stuff going on while driving.I'm not that familiar with Wiley CPAexcel, but with 11 weeks that seems a bit early to start the proficiency questions, maybe just do it to help you gauge where you need more work, then go into lectures or reading (if that is provided with Wiley) and go into those topics more in depth.

monikerncParticipantyou just can't give up on these exams. i studied for 12 weeks because after 6 weeks i knew the only way i would be able to retain all the info was to see it so many times it was second nature. i am happy to have passed and would have been relieved to get a 75 but jeez i should have been able to ace it but didn't. these exams are hard and the scoring is so convoluted i don't even try to understand it. just know that if you allow yourself the time to understand the concepts you will pass. there are no shortcuts. i use ninja book and mcqs because they are lean and no fluff. i have accessed some free videos from youtube when tired of mcqs and for help with those stupid graphs. i read some coso docs. mostly, i just put in the time with the book and mcq's. 217 hours on the dashboard and more than 5100 question attempts. it's all i can say. you can do it. please don't stop trying.
