I'm not asking about discounts, but rather the interest owed being taken away from available funds when calculating the effective interest. the first example that didn't take it away just happened to be a discount question :).

If the 100,000 loan at 9% is a ninja question give me question number. Your answer doesn't look right and i think there is more info in the question.

this is getting confusing and I think I'm misunderstanding you but I guess what I'm saying is, why don't they need to borrow more money to cover their interest payment as well… similar to in my second question?

it is a ninja question but I was going from memory after seeing it this morning…it was short and worded similar but the numbers may be different

Ohhh, sorry. Okay your point to that makes sense in relation to taking the discount. Thank you. The question here is entirely separate, though.

I think the wording of that question said that the loan proceeds were reduced by the $9000 interest and that is why it is deducted to get the effective interest rate.

Okay wait can you explain that further? I think that's my issue. Because I can't find the question I can't decide if I'm going crazy or not. I don't think it mentioned it in the question, just the explanation but I could be wrong. Ugh I feel so burnt out I just want to eat tacos and sleep til an hour before my exam and walk in and nail it without all this built up anxiety even though I know I'm prepared as I'll be!

@moniker – I sit on 2/25, but I am trying to push it back to 2/29 if I can find an opening =( I just feel I can benefit from a couple extra days.

I think the question you posted, the reason the answer is what it is that you are discounting $9,000 in addition to the compensating balance.

Tell me about it. I live in a rural state with like one testing center within like 25 miles of where I live, and another one 300 miles away. I was trying to schedule for 2/29, but could only get in for 2/26 8 AM -> Yikes my first morning test.

Is anyone else getting a runtime error?

Has anyone done a ninja practice exam yet? I have been increasing number of questions and pace is improving. Scores are good. What now?
