silliepandaMember@sdgh1826 I just wrote a post and it didn't .. well .. post! I try to mix it up .. If I know I will be alone at night I will study at night, but if I know I won't I will wake up super early to study. I do theory first and mark the questions for formulas when i re-do the chapters and do them when I go through a second time. MCQs MCQs MCQs!!!!!!! When is your exam?? How are you studying?

HustlinHustlinMemberI also need to master these MCQ. They are the reason I was 4 points away. One thing that has been a lifesaver is that I write down all the applicable data I will need and go through A TON of scrap paper. With a lot of these, you have to break it down into little pieces to make it less of a monster.
I also make a PDF of questions I got wrong/didn't know how to answer and make notes on what I was missing below it. I have a feeling those will be handy during review.
I wish I had the patience to skip through calculations the first time. Sometimes I do if I am somewhere distracting where doing a computation isn't suitable. I think if I did all the computations at the same time I would stab myself in the leg. lol.

sdgh1826MemberThis will be my first section, that it explains why I'm trying to experiment with what really works for me. The test will be on the first week of November, it may seem far from now but I want to nail this one. Don't wanna leave anything to chance, trying to master every topic.
Using Becker self-study. My current strategy is:
1. Video lectures
2. Take time to read the book
3. Re-read the book (quicker) & take notes on important stuff
4. MCQs for subsection (with note taking). Not moving on to the next question until I figure out/compute why the answers are the way they are (this part is driving me n**$)
I plan to repeat this method until I'm done with all lectures. I print each question out and compare them to other MCQs and underline key words that make them different. Its good that Becker has problems that have the same figures, easier to spot the differences. Is this efficient? Also have the NINJA notes. When I'm done with all lectures, I'll get back to the MCQs. When should I consider doing progress tests?
Have you purchased the the audio? Seriously considering the Wiley TB. Suggestions would greatly help, thanks!
Becker 2012, NINJA notes

HustlinHustlinMemberI would highly suggest WTB. One thing I really hate about the new Becker is that in 2012 they stopped offering quizzes per section. Doing these for each topic until you score 80% is a good way to make sure you are solid on everything you need to know.
Really, I think Wiley is the best purchase I have made in this journey. You can specify it to any level, and the questions tend to be more realistic than Becker's long crazy computations which you will never seen. Haven't tried out the audio, though.

silliepandaMemberI opened my Wiley after everyone was talking about it and I agree. I am liking their questions better. Plus it is just a whole different look and feel. Kind of feels like I haven't been staring at it for months 😉

silliepandaMemberStruggling … time to switch it up! Think I am going to focus on Wiley by section from this point forward. I am worried I have memorized answers in Becker from re-doing things so much.
Any thoughts … I have my exam Monday and three full days to study prior to exam. I am just in review phase and working on problem areas (Ch 2 & 3). Is this enough time?? Will I be OK? Someone….calm my nerves at least a little. Thanks!!!!!!!!

LSNYCMemberWhat I really learned tonight, 11pm is my cut off when no coffee is involved. Feel like I made major progress tonight, so I feel pretty good. I am off from work tomorrow so hoping to get in about 4/5 hours in the morning, hoping to really master NPV tomorrow!
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

HustlinHustlinMemberYay! Finally conquered B2 – and with over 80% at that! For the first time, I listened to some zen music which I actually think really helped. I'm usually one of those people who must have dead silence and I freak out at any outside noise, but I think the music plus headphones really helped me stay calm and focused.
I can go to sleep sooner than I expected. It's a good thing too, I even had coffee at 8 when I started and I'm already drowsy.
