LSNYCMember@Hustlin I think of it like this, your CM per unit is how much each unit contributes to cover FC and then you start to make OI.
This is the example I made to help my self understand, (simple numbers to help me learn the concept) I want to make $100,000 OI, my CM per unit is $100 and my FC are $30,000 how many units do i need to sell to make my OI of $100,000? I would need to sell 1,300 units. In my mind i say 300 units cover my FC the next 1000 units help me meet my OI of $100,000.
So CM*NU = FC + OI
100*NU = $30,000 + $100,000
100*NU = $130,000
100*1,300 = $130,000
I am not sure if this helps at all, for whatever reason the cost accounting problems always come a little easier to me then the other topics.

Doing the classic “see next question button 10 times” and all I see are long computations.

sdgh1826MemberSame here.. Are you on B2? I've been working on the MCQs forever! Also trying make sense on some of the concept explanations, but they just seem to be a bunch of words. I have so much “try to check youtube” notes on stuff that are not clicking. I just approached hour 6 and I'm calling it a night, be doing the same thing tomorrow. Going through the problems over and over until I get them seems to be paying off (for now). Can't wait for my co-workers to ask me how my weekend was.

silliepandaMemberOK so here it is … UP early today with A LOT more energy/ambition than yesterday so my goal is to have at least 50% of the chapters MCQs completed for a second time. Totally doable. Good luck all in your day of studying. Time to hit the coffee pot AND the books!

MrsBMemberI completely slacked off yesterday since I really needed to spend some time with my daughter and get ready for my beach trip next weekend. ( I am completely crazy for going to the beach the weekend before an exam but the trip was free.) Today there is no room for slack. I need to complete at least 300 MC questions and finish packing to meet my weekend goals. My daughter is at grandmas house and my husband is working so I have no excuses today.

MrsBMemberI was ordering coffee from amazon and I came across these quotes in a review:

Sleep is a symptom of caffeine deprivation. ~Author Unknown
I thought these fit our caffeine discussion well 🙂 Okay break over . . .

silliepandaMemberSo I am at the point of re-doing all homework. So far chapter 5 I got an average of 86% correct overall. Chapter 1 section 1 88% and section 2 100%. Chapter 4 I got a 92% in one section and an 86% in another. As you can tell I am jumping around, BUT is this good or should I be getting int he 90s?? Thanks!!!

LSNYCMemberMy boss is out today, well working from home. Is it bad if I try to read my NINJA notes today at work? I would like to get through them one time during the work day today, thoughts? I can't use my work computer for study but so MC aren't really do able. I feel bad but an extra read through could really help me. I think I'm looking for you all to ease my guilt 🙁

littlenumberrobotMemberI got a lot of review done this past weekend. I am starting IT today. yay!(lol)
Does your boss ever let you study at work? Mine has in the past when work flow was low, so naturally I say go for it.

LSNYCMember@little he hasn't let me study in the past but I haven't really asked. We have an open seating plan so almost everything I do not work related needs to be on my phone or in paper form. We also aren't ever really slow enough to allow me time to study. Most days I force my self to leave at 630 so I can get 2 hours of studying in at home, or I would stay here and try to finish my never-ending work load. I just thought maybe getting in 10 minutes or so an hour of reading ninja notes might be a little extra today since he isn't here. I do take mental breaks during the day check this site ect, maybe I'll turn them in to 5 flash cards or something instead.
