AnonymousInactiveHey Silliepanda,
I think i will be studying whole night, since BEC is taking longer what I thought orginally which means I am not achieving my target.
I am left with 60% Economics , CG, ERM , IT ..
So today's target is at least Finish 60% of economics with 90 MCQ ( I will try) . as i am taking lots of notes – I have one big pad and one small pad . So things which i forget most i write on small pad to revise during commute.
So i will be logging out for 3 hours .I will log ibackand will update you with my progress . Hope to see you !
Lets get ready for tonight's date with BEC , WAY TO GO RED BULL!! 🙂

AnonymousInactive@nam – I don't think the topic is difficult… I find this section rather boring… just getting through each chapter is very difficult … I hope you are still on track with your studies tonight! Good luck!!
This week – I am on review mode –
Today – I will be reviewing chapter 1 re-read, re-write my notes and then re-do all the MCQs. –

HustlinHustlinMemberWhich review course are you using? I used Becker and there were some really good tips in there. I write pretty well by nature and scored “stronger” in the area, but you have to remember to meet the objectives.
1. Rephrase the question in the first paragraph “This memo is to inform you of…”
2. Use key terms mentioned in the question and more you have learned in your studies
3. Use paragraph form with an intro, body (2-3 paragraphs answering the question) and conclusion.
4. Don't forget to “Sincerely….” (ect) and your name. I followed Jeff's advice and put C.P.A. after mine. 🙂
5. Spell check/grammar!
6.Don't freak out if you don't really know how to answer the question, do your best and write a well formulated response. There is talk that it doesn't really matter the content – just that you know how to write.

AnonymousInactiveDoes anyone think the lectures are a waste of time? I've used Becker and now i'm using Wiley and I feel like all they do is read word by word. So i was mid way through Mod 43 and i gave up. I am just going to read the book, write my notes and hammer the MC's…which is what i've done with my past three parts. I'm really trying to pass this darn BEC once and for all and that is why I thought buying Wiley lectures would help but I feel like its a waste. should i continue with the lectures or should i not? Help!

MrsBMemberI am starting to feel better about this BEC thing. I am 80% done with lectures and I have watched a couple of the lectures multiple times. I should have no problem finishing the rest this weekend. I also have my notes completed which I normally do not do until I have completed the lectures. I plan to give up my morning music for Roger until my exam so that should add in an extra 10-15 hours of “free” study time. Month end close is over in 2 days so I should be less stressed this weekend.
@Hustlin Thanks for the list! I am adding this to my final review notes now.

LSNYCMember@HustlinHustlin thanks! I am using Becker (just the books) Gleim, NINJA notes and I think I am going to get the Wiley test bank. While I got some good tips from study materials I'm always looking for more since I know writing is a weak point for me.
Tonight will be a big study night for me tomorrow is an off night, we have Bruce tickets!!! Saturday is a huge push day for me hoping for 6+ hours if I can manage it! I am liking the cost accounting problems and seem to understand the material. I think my main weak area right now is problems involving present value, I always seem to mess them up!

B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!

nbad311MemberI'm halfway through my BEC textbook (Bisk breaks it into 6 chapters versus Becker's 5, I believe) – done all the MCQs for the 3 chapters – didn't score well at all on any of them. Will I actually remember how to do these calculations the second/third time around? Even after reading the text and then going straight to questions, I had no idea how to do the problems, didn't remember how to do the computations at all. I'm feeling really screwed!
REG - 65, 70, 80!
BEC - 35, 62, 79!
AUD - 73, 75!
FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE. -
