love2passcpaMemberHello Mel4CPA:
They will provide you paper and pencil and then if you need more paper they will give you more. Don't worry bout it, you will get enough paper and pencil to do you T accounts and also solve for your X. Good luck

AnonymousInactiveI'm drowning in this. I am scheduled to take BEC 11/29 and am taking forever to get through the Becker chapters. I'm on chapter 3 now, just about to start the optional questions.
It says you should be able to finish the questions in 4-6 hours. I am lucky to finish them in 4 to 6 days. I'm really starting to worry I won't get done in time and know enough to pass.
I see some of you are having trouble getting through the first few chapters, as well. I have 18 days left, work during the day and have chronic illness so must go to bed by about 9pm. I hate to cancel and take it in January, but that is seeming like an option at this point. Ugh!

nbad311Member@AnnaNuthaCPA, it took me hours and hours to get through my MCQs as well. Especially those with calculations, and when I was doing them the first time. My financial management chapter had 120+ practice MCQs and it took me days to get through (week days). Each question was taking me 3-4 minutes to do

lauryateMemberGetting nervous!
I was originally supposed to test on 11/3, but my testing center was closed because of Sandy. I had to reschedule to the 19th, which was annoying because I was ready to go! I took a week (and a half) off from studying, and now I'm worried that everything might have flown out of my head. Have to work the next four days to get everything back in and secure the topics that I was a little shaky on even before my break.

exercise-ur-mindMemberI was considering Yaeger CPA Cram for BEC, I have 3 weeks before I sit and was wondering if anyone here has used it and would recommend? This is my first section, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about reviewing the material…. maybe it would be best to review notes and do more MCQs?? I'd appreciate any advice!

jambuehMemberWhat's up guys? I'm taking BEC for the second time on the 21st. The first time I took BEC I scored a 71. I kinda blew off the test the first time because I didn't think that the exam would be as hard as REG or FAR. I am using Becker as a review. The first time I studied for the exam, I ran through the chapters and did a couple of progress tests. Didn't do any of the sims or final exams. Also the last week before the first time; I didn't really review much thinking the test wouldn't be that bad. Econ and IT come easy to me. I kicked myself when I got my score!
This time I did all the chapters a second time; and am scoring high 80s on the progress tests. And I will ACTUALLY do the final exams and go over the sims before exam day. I also thought about making a formula spreadsheet and memorizing them. But I'm not that dedicated.
Even with the extra studying…I am still worried about the exam. I need some reassurance that I will be okay…please help! lol

November 17, 2012 at 4:58 pm #383911Less than 3 weeks until I sit for BEC… I should be soooo motivated to study since this is my LAST section, but I am just not! Ughhh I don't know if its the holiday's sneaking up or if I am just burnt out from studying and sitting for exams non-stop since April… I hate BEC so much… this cost accounting is killing me!
