Hey everyone! I am taking BEC 10/26… first time Ive taken the exam in two years. I have started studying and made some progress, but had a little detour this week in finding out I passed FAR last window. I work FT so I plan to jump right back into my ELL schedule Monday. I'm on schedule to have two weeks of review before the exam. So far I am liking the material, it's kinda all sounding familiar. But need to work MCQ like crazy. And I am worried about the WC. Good luck to all testers this window(sorry if I sound too optimistic, but I found out I passed FAR this week:))

    Happy weekend!

I took BEC on 8/31 and just received my score of 65. I am really discouraged as I felt pretty good about the exam. I have an NTS to take Reg by December and was hoping to move onto that section but think it would make more sense to go back to BEC and take it in Oct.

This has been a brutal experience. I have a family (wife and baby) and I work full time. I thought I was spending a lot of time studying for BEC and am concerned about how I can get another 10+ points. Any suggestions?

@Leilani- have you done study groups before? how did it work?

I re-listen to the Becker lectures on my laptop while I'm driving (I DON'T watch them… too dangerous of course). But it helps to review the concepts audibly so I can make a mental note of concepts I need to review again. And it's a great way to stay on the ball at the start of your day. I take my flashcards to work so that I can review them at lunch and then do the MC's at night. I do get lazy and sometimes just stare at the wall, but overall I try to keep this routine. We'll see how it goes!

I took FAR and REG before I started working so I'm anxious to see how I'll perform. Good luck!

Does anyone have a good formula for the “Learning Curve Equation” Gleim's example sucks for this particular situation.

I have BEC scheduled for 10/4 but will probably move to 10/18. I'm not through enough of the material to be ready by 10/4.

I had a good study session today and plan to get in a solid 3 hours tomorrow. I'm married and have 3 kids so study time on the weekends can be hard. Do others have families too?

    AUD Passed!! 7/2012
    BEC Passed!! 10/2012
    REG Passed!! 10/2013
    FAR Passed!! 12/2013

I definitely need this study group right now. I started studying strong. I covered 75% of my lectures and 150 MC questions in the first couple of weeks but nothing in the past week. I am really struggling with motivation this weekend and I am just now starting to hit the books again. I studied for 8 weeks for both FAR and AUD but only plan to study for 5 for BEC so that I can take REG at the end of this test window. I am starting to feel a little panicked about my decision to do BEC so quickly.

Hey MrsB: Step back , relax & revise your plan & stick to it .. You will be fine! I

@ddrumm5: learning curve : For example : if u make one product in 1 hour. And now you are making 2 products , it might take 1.5 hours. the average time has decreased if production is doubled . As you produce more product , you become more efficient.

Formula = actual time required to make 2 products / double the time required in making one product.

= 1.5/(1+1)= learning rate is 50% assuming no spoilage.

I've been studying B2 – Forecasting & projection the past few days and the MCQs are just frustrating! Spent too much time reviewing the book and making sure I know the stuff. But when I did the homework, it just seemd that I didn't learn a thing. To answer the questions, you need to get through 2 – 3 formulas, it could get confusing when to use which formula. I'll keep working the MCQs. How did you guys deal with this kind of situation?

RSpencer – I have two little guys so I understand how difficult it is to study on the weekends. My boys are ages 4 and almost 6. Most of my studying takes place during the week at the office or after they go to bed. I can get MC questions in and notecard studying with them around but not quality lecture or review time.

I am slightly panicked because the next two weekends do not provide for much study time. The boys have their first soccer game Saturday morning and then my husband works from noon to 11pm. Sunday morning my husband is gone from 8:30-noon for his soccer game. He will come home, shower, and head right to work until 11 again. I am thinking I need to get a sitter for a few hours on Sunday. And then the next weekend I am doing a charity bike ride both days. I am riding the MS150 which is 75 miles on Saturday and another 75 on Sunday. No time to study that weekend either.

    AUD - 76 (July 2012)
    FAR - 87 (Feb 2013
    BEC - April 2013
    REG - 81 (August 2012)
