@littlenumberrobot Good luck to you too!

I hear the no motivation thing, as i sit here and would rather be playing words with friends (I don't even like that game) then reviewing Cost Accounting…

Trying to get in 20 more MCQ tonight

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

@littlenumberrobot I am trying to do MCQ for the areas I am weakest in, when I start to get frustrated, I review my notes sometimes rewrite them (or check A71), then I got back to MCQ. I am trying to review all areas but am concentrating on my weakest areas.

I read my notes on my commute and do some CPAreviewforfree quizzes.

I plan on working on WC tomorrow reading some examples, I liked the tips earlier in this thread and on another thread so going to review those as well. I also want to rewrite all the formulas (if i have the patience).

    What about you? Any suggestions?

    A - 61, 91!!

@LSNYC As I just started my review, I am a little lost. But tonight I started up back in the beginning and did some MCQ for the Econ section then reviewed my notes and am back at the MCQ's again. I am so used to my schedule/plan for getting through the sections I feel little lost.

    Just scored a 74 on a 50Q comprehensive go-round with Wiley! Not bad….

I hope I'm not just used to the questions though, I've done over 600 MCQ in Wiley alone…

    A 69 - 75 EXPIRED
    R 65 - 48 - 45
    F 56 - 61 - 65 - 64

Just starting to study for BEC and am taking it in 7 weeks. Anyone feel like flashcards are a major help with this section?

    hey lil#robot,

Hope you finished Econ MCQs. What is your next topic going on??

I'm also finished Econ MCQs (wiley – online and HW book). Now started CG, COSO.

    Good Luck to you…

    @ 1abCPA

I've moved on to cost accounting and planning control analysis sections. Scoring in 50-60's. I keep narrowing it down to 2 answers and I always pick the wrong one! So frustrating.

Thanks! Good luck to you too.

@ littlenumberrobot, i am also taking BED on 10/26/12. My first try and i feel the same way, i have not been motivated lately since i got into planning, control, and analysis. I don't like BEC. Yay. I finished all my videos. I am doing Wiley MCQ's now. Finised Corp Governance and IT and so far i have been scoring 100's. The rest of the modules are making me less motivated. I don't like cost accounting. Too many formulas to remember.

Good luck to all of you! My journey with CPA board exam has been very challenging!!

Guys, just a question re: IT. Is it productive to be making notes for this section or should I just refer to the NINJA notes? Or skip note taking and do MCQs over and over again? The notes part is taking a while, doesn't seem to be productive for this particular chapter. Any help would be great, thanks!

    @sdgh1826

Personally I think for IT all you need to do is memorize the terms. So whatever you need to do to make that happen. I took notes and will practice some MCQ's to review.

@ sdgh: For IT, Ninja notes + repetition of MCQs thorough the concept well (WIley test bank is preferable).

@ lil#robot: Do max # of questions in plg, ctrl & analysis. I'm also in this topic…arghhhh :'(

@hustlin: where are you? what is your progress??

Hi, can I join you guys studying for BEC?

I just started reviewing, and could use some support. I was really excited to get my fresh crisp books in the mail, and how thin they were compared to FAR. I dove right in, but a week later, I'm losing steam. Is there such a thing as studying something too much? Like microeconomics? I'm getting bored with supply/demand/utility and want to skip ahead, but I'm afraid I'll miss something if I don't read every word and watch every lecture. — falling into that trap of “familiarity” and risking passing! Passed BEC two years ago, and I'm sure there are things I forgot. Am I the only one feeling this way on a retake?
