Two weeks from now I'll be walking in to my test, I don't feel prepared at all hoping for a big study weekend and week next week.

I obviously wasn't thinking about baseball playoffs when I scheduled this exam!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I am really disappointed with how unproductive I have been prepping for BEC. I always thought I would hit it hardcore before round 2, but I am finding I am really struggling to get in more than 15 hours every week. I finally got my NTS but have yet to schedule. Either way, it has to be before November, because I plan to tackle AUD before the end of the window too.

I am on IT – so halfway through, and it is going surprisingly well – despite its suuuuper boooooooooooring nature.

I was hoping in keeping up my study momemtum, my boss just asked me to come in Saturday (argh!) for a few hours. Will still get in quality hours tonight, looking forward to editing my formula sheet.

Finally dragged through IT. It wasn't really bad until I got to the Appendix questions….booooring. My bf came in for a second and I quizzed him on one and he said “Why in the hell would you ever need to know that?” My sentiments exactly.

Hoping to get through half of Economics tonight then call it a weekend. Going to watch the Niners eat Buffalo Burgers early tomorrow…BOOYAH!

Overall, I'm not feeling too terrible about my progress, despite the lack of hours. If I can get through the next two chapters by the end of the next week and have a week to review I think I will be in a good spot come exam day.

@Hustlin hustlin: hahahaah i agree. When i was doing IT mcqs and my husband jumped in ( He is IT analyst). he was not able to answers those questions. I was like” SEE SEE what I am going through.”

I think I'm going to start seeing formulas in my sleep! Not necessarily a bad thing. Was about to take a break to watch some playoff baseball, but the Yankee game is in a delay, back to BEC I go.

Starting my last chapter. On track for 2 weeks of review before exam. Have also been doing MCQ with all the material I have covered thus far to review a little… 66% on one and 83% on another. I think if I will be more solid on the two weeks of review.

Hi everyone!

I was hoping I could get answers to which material to use to study for the BEC exam. What did you guys use? What helped the most?

I plan on taking the exam in late November of 2012 and currently have 2011 Becker study material. I was thinking in addition to the 2011 Becker material to purchase Ninja Notes and Wiley cpatestbank. Do you think 2011 Becker material is appropriate to study for the 2012 test?

Any answer will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I am using Roger's 2010 book with the update inserts. I don't see alot of changes betwee 2011 and 2012, but I am sure you have access to 2012 update through Becker also. Wiley Test Bank is a must have.

I passed FAR using Roger 2010 plus updates…so it works. Without shelling out MORE money.

whats up guys!! I will be taking this portion on the 22nd of November. i'm having a hard time retaining it all haha I have becker 2012 and audio ninja notes. Im in the San Diego, CA if anyone wants to meet in a university library. the first three chp is a lot of formulas and all theory after. a friend told me that he only saw formulas from chp 3, but all are different. I took REG in aug and rushed it. i didnt pass, but will take it again soon.

Thank you so much! I just want to make sure that I am studying the right material that contains all the current changes such as regulations/laws. What about REG? I do have 2012 Becker material. I was thinking to supplement that with the cpareviewforfree. Any thoughts?

I've only glanced at cpareviewforfree once and I didn't like it. I feel like Wiley is enough. I didn't even get through all the FAR questions before my exam… its my goal this time around to get through all BEC questions.
