    @hopingtogetFAR thank you so much. I am going back and reading book and listing formulas so I can see them all in one place. I am doing Becker. I have final review for this one also. I am just really short on time with BEC since I moved this month. Going to work hard these next few days. I think I just need a lot of practice in MCQ. I will probably do around 100-150 a day after I finish material. Test is Oct 24. Going to be some late nights and early mornings!

    @jwalk Hey, I was the same way. Probably lost a week of studying due to family conflicts, so i had to learn as much as I could in 3 weeks. I hammered through progress tests and tried to focus on chapters I continuously scored low in.It could've been a lot worse. Just push through. You got it.

    @jwalk & @hopingtogetFAR, I am on the same boat. Finally got back to studying late afternoon, yesterday. My hubby is off work for 7 weeks. He got injured with his project and stayed at the hospital for 4 days. He can't drive for at least a month. So, I will be doing most of the driving, closer to my scheduled exam. Writing, FAR, BEC & REG this 2017 Q4.

    So, I am a little behind. Currently, re-arranging my studying strategy, compensate for all the time that I lost. Probably skip the Ninja audio, just the Ninja notes, book, Ninja MCQS & SIMs, AICPA Released Qs (2005-2016). Currently, finishing Ninja Plus for FAR/REG/BEC, using it for my SIMs/MCQs, as additional notes.

    Basically, attempting to pack all FAR/REG/BEC materials, within 6 weeks. I think it is doable. I have been taking exams steady since 2016 Q2 (FAR-4x; AUD-3x; BEC-2x; REG-2x), until now. In the past though, I didn't study as hard, just reading my text mostly, hardly MCQs/SIMs practices. My FAR/BEC/REG scores are mostly in the 50s.

    So, I realized, with these latest scores, the only time I can bridged that gap, 25%+ minimum, is to do a lot of MCQs/SIMs, especially the number calculation problems.

    My biggest problem during actual exam is, ‘time management', too slow with MCQs, esp FAR/BEC. So I am working on that right now, with selected questions. They are all number problems. I designed my own mock exams, using AICPA's released exams, specifically, 2005-2016. I take these mock exams during the weekends, until exam days.

    Good luck.

    I'm retaking BEC on 10/31 (73 in April) any tips for the best refresh? I'm nervous b/c I haven't looked at this stuff in almost 6 months (thank you 12 week grading window:-(
    I was attempting to just start with MCQ and see what comes back to me and I was 60% there. I'm worried about doing too many and just memorizing questions.
    I have Becker and a review book from another vendor that I used for AUD and found to be helpful but the calculations in BEC make a review book harder.

    So outside of MCQ (Becker) and a review book, any other miracles I'm missing?

    Thank you so much @hopingtogetFAR. I am doing my best! I feel a little better today. Need to get through sims tonight and I will be done with the material. The math is still a struggle, but if I keep pressing through the problems I know it will click. Mock exam tomorrow night or Tuesday morning. Leaning toward Tuesday so I can review all day tomorrow. I actually prefer the review to material work lol I just hate those lectures sometimes. Not much Peter Olinto lately has this material pretty dry. I am trying to stay calm lol

    Hi all,

    BEC is my final part on 11/21 (passed FAR and AUD, awaiting REG taken 10/12). Being my last section and a business major I feel like there should be a lot of familiar topics in studying this stuff. Look forward to getting help with the material from you all and hopefully we can all knock this out!

    Kev, he said the answer is C (not A)

    Defo, mind elaborating on your question? I keep coming here, hoping that someone did this, but I haven't seen a volunteer. Strongly appreciate it.

    @rencpa

    This is how wiley sets it up. They don't give any addition explanation, so I cant figure out why it makes sense to set it up this way.

    Cost = $3,000 – 0.10 (cost)0.10

    0.10 cost = $3,000 – 0.10 cost

    0.20 cost = $3,000

    Cost = $15,000

    I took BEC yesterday, and think wiley missed the mark with their MCQ. I was averaging in the 90's on the multiple choice. Including 90's on two practice exams. The actual test questions didn't seem difficult, but they just covered topics and areas not related to the wiley MCQ. I felt under prepared for the multiple choice when i went in expecting to crush it.

    Thanks Defo. I really appreciate this. I asked my professor to help me with the question. I will let you know when I get anything back (it may be a couple of days). I don't see Becker covered the material with the question you posted (but I just started studying finances)

    Speaking about your exam experience… You never know. I told everyone around that I failed REG, including my instructor. My simulation exam had the material that for sure Becker never covered. First time, I researched during my exam in order to answer simulations. I guessed more than ever, but I did not leave anything blank. I ended up with a pretty high score!

    Also, MCQs are not everything. You still have the simulations and WCs. Stay positive. My suggestion, keep reviewing the material until the score date (unless you have any other exams this testing window). Don't forget, other people study with Wiley too. And look at me from Becker, I had no idea how to answer the question you posted. Unfortunately, there is NO CPA course that prepare us for the exam. We need to study and hope for the best.

    Once again, be positive!

    @Defo. You only used Wiley? or supplemented with ninja MCQ? Cos am preparing my self with Ninja only. In addition, how was the SIMS and WCs overall difficulty? Thanks.

    Thanks for the support rencpa. I felt worse leaving FAR exam and I passed, so there is definitely hope. But I based on how i felt with my preparation, I was expecting an easier time here.

    fblessed777- I used just Wiley, and focused only on the MCQ and text book. I thought the SIMS and WC were more than fair, and wiley material did a good job of preparing me for them.

    I'm taking BEC next, probably in January. It will be my 2nd part, just took FAR a week ago. I'm a little worried after learning that the WC's can encompass any topic from any exam. I've never been the best at bull***ing and I'm over 4 years out of school so I remember very little from my audit class. How do you answer a WC that you don't have any knowledge of the topic? If I hadn't already signed up for BEC in this test window I'd probably push it back to last.
