I have the Becker book for BEC, but it's 2012, is it still reliable to pass the exam in November 2013?

I'm asking because I noticed my videos said 85% MC and 15% written while the book said 60% MC and 40% simulation.

I'm assuming the first is correct, but can someone please confirm for me?

    Thanks!!

    @se7en.14 It should be 85/15.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! πŸ˜€

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently πŸ™‚

@CPA2B_NJ It took me forever and a day to do B1 and then B2. I am half way through B3 and my goal was to be done with the lectures by now. Yes, it takes forever, so don't think you are going too slow. Just adjust your schedule as needed and try to stick to it as much as possible.

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! πŸ˜€

@zxiao At 30 hours a week, with the time you have to sit for BEC, that's over 120 hours of studying, which is more than enough. Even if you don't meet your 30-hr week goal, and manage to do around 20, it should still be enough if your study time is focused and well spent. Good luck! πŸ™‚

@CPA2B_NJ…It helps to know all the cost accounting concepts and ratios, but that will not be enough to pass the exams.

Even when you think you know it all, the AICPA confronts you with weird conceptual questions on internal controls, economics and other random conceptual questions in the business world.

With BEC, you will need lots of studies and luck!

    REG -63β”‚ 84!!
    BEC- 59β”‚70β”‚ 71 β”‚78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

I will re-take BEC on 11/10 for the 2nd time. I got a 66 my first time. This time around I am pairing the BEC Ninja notes/audio with Becker. I sure hope it all works out!!!

Moving on to IT chapter! Wish me luck…this part killed me last time! I am 99% positive the 2 points I needed to pass were IT related :/

Anyone else feel massive hatred towards IT?

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! πŸ˜€
