    *This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently πŸ™‚

    The way they ask some of these questions is so annoying, so frustrating when a solution to a problem is something they never even mentioned. Oh well, Becker has helped me pass thus far.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

    So.. your question made me wonder what is the actual amount of days used in the cost of foregoing a discount formula… 360 or 365..

    I remember very plainly in college that my professors always used 360. I remember thinking that it was stupid.. but I wanted an A so I used it.. haha.. Becker (like you said) uses 360,… I looked it up on google and it seems to be a mix of 365 and 360…

    Soo basically .. I have no idea what the answer is.. haha.. I just think that I will use 360 (unless someone tells me differently) on my actual exam…

    {R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
    {B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
    {F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}
    {A: PASSED(I am done!!)}

    @stokey.. It seems the notes may or may not be wrong. To get the answer he has in the notes, you have to multiply the .99 by the 20 BEFORE you divide. to get the .1843. Problem should read: .(.01×365)/ [(100-.01) X (30-10)]

    gives you 3.65/ (.99 x 20) = 3.65/19.8= .1843

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

    Thanks for the help guys! I will use 360 as well but if on the exam they give me the amount of days then I will use that number instead.
