Guys can someone help with this?

I am using the Ninja notes for BEC. I am not able to get the same answer as that is written on the Cost of Forgoing Discount in the Managing Payables section on page 63.

    1/10 net 30

    Per Ninja Notes

    (Disc% x 365)/(100% – Disc%) x (Pay Period – Discount Period)

    (.01 X 365)/(1 -.01) X (30 – 10)

    3.65/.99 X 20

    =73.74

Ninja Notes say = .1843 % (did I calculate wrong or am I missing something?)

    Per Becker

    360/(Pay Period – Discount Period) X Discount/ (100- Discount %)

    360/(30 – 10) X .01/(1 -.01)

    18 x .010101

    =.1818

Which way is correct? Neither answer came up with the same result as the Ninja Notes answer.

Adding to my previous post. When I use 365 instead of 360 in the Becker formula I get the same answer in the Ninja notes. So which number will be used on the exam?

@Jennifer GOOD LUCK!!!! I know you will kill it today!!

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂
