@jennifer… ya, I tried to recreate your little chart and all I get are crossed over lines and stuff that is just more confusing than it should be.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Baby Frames, Inc. evaluates manufacturing overhead by using variance analysis. The following information applies to the month of May:

    Actual Budgeted

Number of frames manufactured 19,000 20,000

Variable Overhead costs $ 4,100 $2 per direct labor hr

    Fixed Overhead costs $22,000 ; $20,000; $1 per unit

Direct labor hours 2,100 hrs 0.1 hour per frame

What is the production volume variance?

I have no idea how this would be solved using barelystayingsane's table, nor how it's done in the Becker book, which btw sucks for this topic.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Here's the link to the thread where barelystayingsane explains his table:

I'm moving forward with B3 today and tomorrow, will be doing my B1-3 review this weekend. I go in on 11/20 and seems like I am falling behind every day because these MCQs take so frickin' long. Grrr. Maybe things will click when I see them again this weekend.

I spent a good 8-9 hours on B2 questions, some of them taking me 15 minutes because I seem to struggle with variances, but they are starting to click. I think I”m going to keep doing progress tests through each chapter so it stays fresh. I imagine I'll do 500+ on just variances by the time it's over.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Hi everyone sorry I was so stressed and busy with the study…. So I took BEC yesterday and I have to say that Becker did a good job. All materials I studied was there and it was easier. Those that I had issues with was barely mentioned.I failed so unprepared when I went to the exam but left relieved. I won't say that I nailed it , but I did my best.I have mix feeling about passing or failing, but all I can do is being optimist. The question were easier than the MC in Becker, but I spent all the time on it and only had 30 mn left for the essay which was not enough. I am now waiting on the result and really hope to see that 75!!!!! I am moving to Audit sheduled for 12/06 and hope that I will not have to retake BEC again. Good luck to all of you.
