I'm trying out Yeager on top of Roger review (which is what I used previously). I still have my Roger notes and will be referring to it as he has great mnemonics. But mostly, the last 2 times that I took the test was prior to me discovering the NINJA way of studying. I think I know how to study better now and how much studying it takes to understand all the materials & concepts instead of just memorizing it. Also, I'm supplementing in NINJA notes and audio and possibly Wiley test bank. Hopefully, this will result in a great turnout.

Guys,

I went on the prometric testing center website and was looking at the available testing dates. I have already scheduled my BEC exam for 11/27/13 but was curious if maybe the friday after Thanksgiving was an available testing date. I noticed 12/4/13 was available for testing. I thought that December was a closed month for CPA exam testing. Does anyone know anything about this date being available or was it just a fluke?

@stokey – Just got an email from NASBA saying they extended the testing window due to Thanksgiving (I'm assuming because it's so late in the month this year.) So you should be all set for the first week of December!

J adopted job costing system. Budgeted cost driver activity levels for direct labor hours and direct labor costs were 20000 and 100,000 resp. In addition budgeted variable and fixed overhead are $50,000 and $ 25,000 resp.

actual costs and hrs were as follows.

Direct Labor hrs 21000

Direct Labor costs $ 110,000

Machine hrs 35000

1500labor hrs were used. Using direct labor hrs, what amnt. of overhead shud be applied to this job.?

A. $ 3214

B. $7500

C. $ 5357

D. $ 5625

Answer is D…..i used $100000 and got B as answer….why did they not do so?

I just went and rescheduled my appointment to Dec 4th. That gives me just a few more days to study! I am soooo excited and happy to be able to do this!!
