Hey Everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. So far I have FAR, REG and AUD down and BEC left. I have to say, I am pretty nervous that I've gotten to the end. I decided to switch from Becker within using them for a couple of days and I've gone with Roger instead. So far I am halfway through the lectures and I love how he's broken down the cost accounting aspect. Any advice on how to study for this beast?

Well, I failed with a 64. :-(….I am just going to get right back up and brush it off and test again probably in November. It was my first exam ever and I started a brand new job in a whole different field 2 weeks before testing so…not sure how to feel about the fail.

I am debating whether to buy Roger's Cram to go with my other study materials.

Hi everyone. Need to reschedule my exam ASAP but planning for Oct 5th. I am hoping to turn my 73 into a 75++. Planning on finishing getting through lectures by Thursday and then starting on Becker MCQs. This time, I am definitely watching the IT lecture and taking notes. I ran out of time last time and did not study very well IT, Operations Mgmt. or Strategic Mgmt., and those exact same topics ended up being my “weaker sections”. If we put in the time and focus, we will pass! 🙂

REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

BEC retake 10/12. I only got through 1 Becker chapter first time around, but I am a lot more motivated now!! Watching the lectures, taking my own notes, NINJA notes and audio, and actually reading the Becker text. I also rewrite ay MCQ I get wrong. I made a 64 the first time blind so I feel pretty confident I will do a lot better this time around!!

@chaya – I would at least take that 1pm slot and keep checking to see if an earlier one opens up!

Odd thing is, I've only seen afternoon slots for my past three. I scheduled BEC for Oct 12 and there was actually a morning slot open. Afternoons have always been a pass for me, so we shall see!!

I've scheduled BEC for Oct 12. So far, I'm about 1/4 way through the video lectures and am listening to Ninja audio during my commute. So far so good.

As soon as I can muscle my way through these lectures (a Sept 20th checkpoint), I will hard tackle these MCQ's for about 2 weeks. The MCQ's seems to be the biggest payoff for me in regards to conquering the exams.

Hopefully I pass this, and can move onto my REG exam scheduled for November 27.
