neika822Participant@Amay – that's my goal too, a week for review. I also have two days prior to my exam off from work, so I hope I can use my time wisely.
I haven't really intended to do the NINJA method, but I have moved on from chapters where I didn't finish my questions. I'm hoping I can bang out those missed questions in about two days. Hopefully less. I have most of chapters 4 and 5 done, but a lot of 1-3 isn't complete. I haven't yet gotten to 6 yet. I'm really bad at doing questions, I always find distractions and I get easily frustrated, so I tend to avoid doing them.
R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINADONE, DONE, AND DONE.

AmayMember@neika do you use your software to time yourself on your questions? That's the only way I keep myself from losing focus when I'm doing them. I try to give myself on average 3 minutes per question, which includes note taking time. Obviously some questions take me a little longer and some a little less, but when I try to estimate how long a section will take me I calculate 3 minutes per question. I am guilty of sometimes hitting pause on the timer when I get distracted. Lol.
BEC: 73, 81
AUD: 85
FAR: 71, 77
REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! π*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently π

neika822Participant@amay – yesss I hit pause all the time because I hate seeing the timer tick. I need to just buckle down. I'm starting to gain momentum as I'm going. Hopefully I don't lose it for this weekend because I need a good weekend of studying.
In college I loved staying up late doing homework, but now when the weekends come along, I'm hitting the bed at 11pm the latest. And I'm only 25! I'm already too old for staying up late π

AmayMember@Neika I am right there with you. This weekend MUST be a catch-up weekend for me. I have to decide by mid-week next week whether I will reschedule or not in order to avoid a higher rescheduling fee. I have my daily schedule set…let's DO this!!! By the way, we are the same age π

AmayMember@jasbeerch Your plan is exactly what I am doing, although mine was not by design. I initially wanted to get done with lectures/notes in 2 weeks, do MCQs the next 2 weeks, and review 1 week. It is definitely more important to focus on MCQs and hit that review stage so I would get those lectures done ASAP. Good luck!
