    OH MY GOSH!!!

    I am getting it!!

I had it wrong and now I understand!

Okay I do not know if I can type this so it will show the way I would hope but here goes.

Per Becker it is A BA BS A

    1st A=Actual

BA = Budgeted FOH + (Actual Hours x Std Rate/hr)

BS = Budgeted FOH + (Budgeted Hours x Std Rate/hr)

    2nd A = Applied

    Spending variance = 1st A vs. BA

Efficiency Variance = BA vs. BS

    Volume Variance = BS vs 2nd A

I was forgetting that the “key” from Becker included both fixed and variable costs and it was totally messing me up! I got it now! Yeah Baby!

50mins on each the first three testlet and 30 mins on wc.

    I think I can pass. I just need a 75.

@ Qlad – I think C is incorrect. Substantive testing is used when controls are non existent or because testing the controls would be inefficient so it wouldn't be used to gain an understanding of controls. (guessing here)
