Pointless in the sense that I do not think that they gear the review materials towards the understanding that an accountant should possess.

I am just wondering if Becker's IT review needs to be supplemented – I know people that have been fine with BEC's IT section and passed and people that curse BEC's review of IT. Or if it's general knowledge and you have to extrapolate the correct answer?

Hi all…. first-timer here! I'm sitting late Nov (still waiting for NTS to come through). Studying with Wiley and will supplement soon with the test bank.

Question: how much of your study time do you end up writing down notes? I instinctively started studying the way I've always studied material for tests – by taking detailed notes on each chapter. But the problem is, since everything is Super Important to Know, I am essentially rewriting the book right now. I'm in the first module still and starting to think this is an insane idea… should I focus just on reading, then re-reading, then banging out all the MCQs I can get my hands on?

I wish I was complaining about questions like you guys…I am still on lectures!! 1/2 way through B4. Had to work during the weekend and I'm having a busy week at work. I really don't want to take my test any later than Oct 7th…my goal is to sit for FAR at the end of Nov. Sigh…stressing…

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

Need help with BEC 1(Becker)–On page B1-51 why does the example consider 4000 Beginning units in weighted average method ?? In the previous page it mentions that weighted avg units should be Units completed+ Ending WIp* % completed(Not beginning WIP)

@Amay – I'm still trying to do the Becker method for BEC. I did the NINJA method for FAR (but only because I was getting frustrated with the homework). Now that I'm getting frustrated with BEC, I might just convert to the NINJA method.

I'm starting to get concerned I won't finish for my October 12 exam date. I don't want to push back…
