I hate BEC too! I have been an accountant for over 5 years and NO ONE has ever came to me and requested IT information, with the exception of how much assets cost. LOL

Yes, my experience was similar. It will definitely be in my review for Rogers that they expand on their IT section. I felt completely unprepared to answer the level of questions asked. But hey those could be pre-tested questions. 🙂

I really hope I passed with a 75! I felt like REG and AUD material were really easy to comprehend. Although I failed REG the first time, I know this was my awful study habits at the time. The material was easy to understand. BEC did not feel that way. I struggled all the way through and right when I felt like I could possibly pass, I took the exam and was blindsided. Oh well. We can only do what we can do, right.

i just took the sample aicpa bec test. got all the mcq right. did okay on the sims. i really wish they would specify how they would like ratios to be presented. i always end up having to guess whether they want 10% written as 0.1 or 10%.

That's great. Sounds like you are on the right track. Have you taken any exams other than FAR yet? They did specify that on the real exam. I was worried about it too but they gave instructions on the % and $ rounding. And it wouldn't even accept it if I did it wrong!

i passed far and i took re took aud in q2 of this year. felt really good about it on my second try so we'll see soon…

oh awesome! yeah i get so pissed off when i do a practice sim and i get the answer wrong because i put a % rather than a decimal.

Anyone tried Becker Mock Exam? What about sims practice. Does NINJA MCQ have sims practice?

yeah ninja mcq has sims practice but they are all essays i think.
i dont use becker so i haven't tried the mock exam but the aicpa website has a sample exam. i attempted everything except the essay portion. i did ok.

which review material has the best IT practice questions or more relevant IT information people have seen on the exam. I have taken BEC twice and always get random IT questions that I have never seen before.

I was studying Becker first time around and now I have switched to Rogers. I feel like he teaches the information and helps it to make sense rather than brain loading you with stuff that you don't know how to apply. Anyone feel the same?

I am trying to compare Becker and Rogers IT sections now… Since I haven't taken BEC yet from studying with Rogers I want to know if I should focus on Becker material and review the IT section there as well.

Also- has anyone come across an alternative resource that is free which provides IT questions or information that is more relevant on the exam?

wondering that myself. seems like most people taking BEC run into a lot of these wtf IT questions. im using wiley. the materials don't help too much. ive had to go on youtube and look up IT related stuff.

Does anyone have any links or know a good way to prepare for the TBS for BEC? I feel really good about my MCQ, but do not feel prepared for the TBS. TIA
