Hey i did all ninja mcqs for practice for COSO, ECO, & IT. I haven't seen Rogers yet , so cant say anything.

Your exam is tomorrow right? At this moment I would just say think confident and go in the exam room like a Lion/ Lioness 🙂 & Wish you all the best. You have one more day to review main concepts of ECON & COSO and key words of IT. You said you are feeling strong in math but be sure to revise what formula gives you an overall view about an organization.

I haven't tested myself with AICPA, but soon I will. Seems like you are doing great overall on AICPA test.
How did you prepare yourself for TBS and Writing? I am practicing on Becker for TBS & writing and think thinking to read more on ninja writing TBS.

By the way I am also planning for FAR retake next in September 1st week If i can manage my time well otherwise in October 1st week (My NTS expire 10th October). Looking at the score release date I think september would be the best to take FAR.

My BEC is on monday. Like KUSUMALA i will take a break just a day and stick to FAR.

Hi Sona,

Yeah I feel pretty strong in math and pretty good in IT and COSO. Econ hates me lol. But I think after today I will be ready. You never know with the CPA exam though. I study, do my best, and wait. That is all you can do. I am reading through some examples for the writing portion of the exam. I am focusing on the format rather than material. I feel that if you read the book, do all the MCQ's, and feel good about the material it will translate no matter the format. I focused so heavily on other stuff for REG and failed. So, now I just study.

I was planning on taking FAR the first week of September but I am expecting in September and am worried that I won't have enough time prior to her arrival, so I have now switched gears. After my test tomorrow, I am going to re-study REG and take that instead the first few days of September, earlier if I can manage. FAR will have to wait until late NOV or early DEC.

I just gave the BEC exam yesterday (my final one!) Overall it wasn't as tough as I had expected. But yes, it is math intensive and the theoretical questions on COSO and ERM look really vague. Hopefully I pass. It's a long wait for the results 🙂

Just took BEC and wish I could agree with the last post. My test was sooooo hard. The first testlet was incredibly difficult and the second wasn't as bad so probably didn't do great. The TBS were unbelievably difficult or at least two were. I literally wanted to cry. The writing was okay I guess. I think I will be retesting.

Either way, it's done and now I have to start REG!

Did you practice with NINJA MCQs, What did you say about you could agreed about last post?

I am doing NINJA MCQs, done with COSO, ECON, IT, OPERATIONS MGMT, today. Need to do strategic planning and Financial mgmt. in 3 days.

BEC is really overwhelming , one point I feel I got everything in my pocket, the other point I feel I am not remembering anything. 🙁

@jguy621 I’m sorry to hear that 🙁 what was so overwhelming, regarding topics or ideas, that may help us to be less overwhelmed when we take it? Any tips or suggestions? I already feel overwhelmed studying & underprepared for my exam next Monday. Any advice would help.

Someone posted right above me that they didn't feel the test was as tough as they expected. I was saying I wished I felt the same. I want to start off by saying that I really struggled with this material. I am very much accounting and this material is all over the place. AUD was really easy for me. And everyone is different.

With that said, I felt pretty comfortable with the material and felt like I could pass this test. I think that the material covered in Rogers was pretty good, however IT is way more difficult on the exam than what is given in the five pages covered in Rogers study material. The MCQ's were doable, the first testlet seemed really hard for me, while the second didn't.

I struggled with the TBS. They were incredibly complex and time consuming. I was pretty overwhelmed by them. And feel this is where I was pretty weak. If I fail, I know it's because of the TBS.

The writing wasn't terrible but you need to know your stuff. Answering a MCQ is a lot easier than having to write about something.

Wish I could be more help but the truth is, every test and test experience is different. I never know what is allowed and what isn't allowed so I won't note on material but study it all! Formula's and concepts!

I hope you all pass you upcoming test. The wait is going to be brutal! SEPTEMBER 19TH!! UGH!

there's almost no way to really prepare for the IT portion. its either you know some obscure outdated IT term or you don't. i hope the graders don't put too much emphasis on the IT portion. its called certified public ACCOUNTANT afterall…not certified public TECH WIZ. out of FAR, AUD, and BEC, im really despising BEC the most.
