    Hello,

    Does anyone in here using Becker review? If so, did you have problem with the your score on skills practices? I watched all the videos and did the work but didn't get 100%. I also did the stimulation and the score didn't save the next day. I downloaded the Becker apps on my iPad. Please let me know if you have the same problem and how you fixed it. Thanks for your help.

    @kimphan

    I'm using Becker. I haven't had that problem yet. On the skills practice, if you answered the questions but didn't watch the “explain” videos, then it will not show 100% completion. It wants you to watch the explanation videos even if you answered the questions in the skills practice correctly. Good luck!

    Hey guys,

    So, I took BEC in about 3 weeks during my first month of starting a new job. I was forced to take it quickly because it was about to expire. This was last December, 2016. Now the exam has changed & I am re-taking it. I'm using Becker, as I did before, & I don't know if the material has gotten harder or what but it feels as if it did. There seems to be so much math that I don't remember the first time around. Has anyone reading this taken the new 2017 exam? If so, do you have any advice on which “mathy” things I should actually study the formulas as opposed to what I should just know the concepts?

    I ask because it's just a little overwhelming listening to Peter Olinto throw formula after formula at me. Any advice on this exam, especially from those who have taken the new exam, would be greatly appreciated!

    TryAgain, I'm doing the live online lectures now and I am not finding them any more helpful than watching the pre-recorded lectures in the self study part of Becker. The main good thing about them is keeping me on a better schedule of study.

    Hi, everyone! I take BEC July 8th at 8:30 a.m. I passed it almost 2 years ago, but that's the problem. It's been awhile. I got to regain that credit while I wait for my results from REG as well.

    I'm doing my best to keep myself motivated, but life and family and work at times with overtime feels overwhelming.

    I'm using Becker now, too, as well as Gleim and Ninja. I got a better idea of how I want to attack this exam, but the 5 weeks I should take this in is intense. Just got to keep going.

    So I took a practice exam. I know, I know, NINJAs don't take practice exams. I'm two weeks out (test July 3) and I got a 68%. I guess I'll just keep hammering MCQs, but I wonder if anyone has any tips? Also @Julia, how much time did you give to study REG? I'm scheduled for October but was thinking of bumping it up to Sep 8/9 just in case I failed FAR. Do you think +/- 60 days is enough time?

    @hscenna im using wiley. the lectures aren't helping too much. at least not for the finance portion and the IT portion. hopefully i'll learn better by doing a bunch of questions.

    @rwgla: I took it in march and gave myself 2 months. I made a 73. I was discouraged and quit studying. I started again in May (I changed jobs so i took a break).
    I cud have passed but I dont think I really understood how hard I had to work (plus I graduated 10 years ago). I am taking study serious and do bout 4 hours a day and 6 on Saturday and Sunday.
    2 months is good – but bear down.

    @Jeff: CPA testing is code for “no facebook, Twitter, or internet games.” only ninjas or forum. Can these count please? 🙂

    @Julia thank you for your response, I will have to see how I feel after BEC. I study about 2 hours a day Mon-Fri and then 8-16 hours on the weekend. I graduated in December and have done taxes as a side hustle for the past three seasons, although I'm sure REG is more complicated than my income tax class or the individuals and schedule Cs I did during the season, I think for now I'll keep my October date and only try to move to Sept. if I can get through the material easily. Were you using NINJA for REG the first time? If so, what was your trending mcq score? A 73 is so close, you'll get it this time!
