I used Wiley CPAExcel! I either watch the lecture or read the study text, take down the important notes, take the assessment, then move on to the next lesson. Also, the lecturers/content writers for Wiley have been really good at predicting what's going to be important on the exam, so if you have Wiley, I would really suggest paying attention to the points where they say it's likely to come up!

And yep for the TBS(s) where you have ratios, there's an extra tab with them. It looks like it does on the AICPA website: https://sampletests.aicpa.org:8443/Citrix/STWeb/

So as far as mcq's, do you think its beneficial to spend alot of time memorizing formulas? Or better to spend that time studying elsewhere?

Been waiting for BEC score to release since May 11. Passed with a 76 and am finally done with this hell of a journey. Used Yaeger and can't thank them enough since I was able to avoid the trap of Becker and it's high prices. Confidence and the ability to be alone for extended periods of time will get you through. Never give up!

    FAR 5/27/2017 87
    AUD 8/12/2016 88
    Reg 2/7/2017 76
    Bec 5/11/2017 76

    Who Dat!

If I were to study more for the MC I think I would just set the test bank to random and just do as many as possible. The calculations did not get too complex for me and I just studied the major formulas. It wouldn't hurt memorizing them but I just didn't have enough brain power for it! I studied for this test in two weeks so I felt it was more worth my time to get through all the conceptual stuff.

Thanks bailey, im in the same boat studying in a short period of time. I dont want to waste time memorizing a bunch of formulas if not necessary. Just the main ones.

Forgive me if I am asking a question that has already been asked but what would you all say are the most important formulas to memorize?

So I'm using Wiley CPAexcel and took BEC in May, failing miserably with a 55. I feel like it was mostly my fault as I didn't review as much as I should have especially those ratios. I took FAR in August (results should be out September) but again not holding my breath for that one -_- But now, moving on, I've come back renewed and want to take BEC and AUD in December. (I'm an international student travelling to the US to take them so I need to take 2.) I'm thinking BEC will be a review since I already took it. But how should I go about doing this? should I study BEC first and then AUD and Review for both two weeks before? I feel like I'm gonna forget BEC by the time I'm done with AUD.

Has anyone studied for both? If you did, how did you go about doing it? Advice please!!!!

Yes I can confirm this from actually taking the exam. They provide a list of just about every single formula in a separate tab as part of the simulations. I actually had a financial ratio sim on my AUD exam as well, and they provided the list of formulas there too.

The ratios are not provided for the MC questions, so you still need to learn as many as you can, because you don't know how many math MCQ there will be.

I'm waiting for my BEC and AUD score on September 19th, does anyone feel like they absolutely crushed their BEC simulations on the actual exam? The topics of the simulations + written portion felt like they were made for me, but I'm trying to remain objective.

Anyway, I ran out of study time and didn't get to IT and of course there was a good portion of IT questions in the MCQ on the exam. Not a bunch, but definitely a decent amount in both my testlets.

    Hello everyone.

I'm almost there to take Bec on Sep the 7th. I will be starting today the review sesh of my flashcards, MCQ & Sims. I was just told about the free trial of Wiley CPA. Have any of you tried it before? Is it worth it? I would really appreciate your thoughts/ experience since I will be back at work on September and I need to pass this horrible exam!!!

    Thanks in Advance

A company with $4.8 million in credit sales per year plans to relax its credit standards, projecting that this
will increase credit sales by $720,000. The company's average collection period for new customers is
expected to be 75 days; and the payment behavior of the existing customers is not expected to change.
Variable costs are 80 percent of sales. The firm's opportunity cost is 20 percent before taxes. Assuming
a 360-day year, what is the company's benefit (loss) on the planned change in credit terms?
    a. $28,800
    b. $144,000
    c. $120,000
    d. $126,000

Anyone know what is going on here? Becker doesn't teach this concept at all but throws in this question…

Has anyone taken becker's bec practice test? I just completed the first one so I have two weeks until my exam and failed it miserably. Feeling like there is no hope now.

@hhirsch Have you tried the AICPA sample test? I actually haven't tried either. I'm using Gleim and have 3 more study units to cover. But I'm feeling my first practice test will be like yours. And this is my 2nd time taking BEC. However, we just have to realize we've been studying everything piece by piece and once we do a few practice tests or study sessions with all the possible MCQ and TBS, it will start to come together. I'm freaking out with how I am miscalculating MCQ and only realizing it because my solution is not one of the options. So I'm thinking what if I don't catch it with the TBS? Just take your time and think positively, take breaks and come back to it. We still have two weeks. Just can't get burned out in the process. You got this!
