Just to clarify my above post. The material was not updated on my CPA Review material not with Ninja. I am trying Ninja for the fist time because I want to pass BEC on my first try since my FAR expires 05/31/2014.

I am joining this group. I need to pass BEC in January since Reg expires in Feb. I'm on the Macroeconomics stuff and its pretty straight forward. It gets a little tricky for me in regards to the Finance material as well as the Variances. I have 3.5 weeks to master it all. I know I can do it!!!!

@jeff – BEC changing in 2014? I have been prompt on my material from becker/wiley that the exam will be changing or is itgiong to change like Audit did? just significant wording, but concept be the same? I have my test for Jan 30 and want to keep studying with same material, but i feel like i'm going to be forced to upgrade to a newer one and pay 500 for materials. Let me know what you think and if your updating your material as well. thanks!

@nfreeman08 I am with you. Sometimes I just want to shoosh so I don't spread the negativity. I need to find a way to focus on BEC.

Anyone know how to dissect corporate governance and communication in understable little bites. I am struggling. I cant wait to be done with BEC it is a pain I can't get rid of.

I try and create a book of formulas and things I always get wrong. Please feel free to add to the focus points:

COSO 2013 has 3 objectives: Reliable Reporting (RR), Efficiency and Effective (EE) Operations and Compliance with reg and law.

Has 5 Components “CRIME” and in total the 5 components have 17 principles.

Control environment (5 principles)

Risk Assessment (4 principles)

E aka (Control Activities 3 principles)

Info and Comm (3 principles)

Monitoring (2 principles )

Keep in mind the accounting cycle, purchasing cycle and sales cycle from auditing when you look at internal control. Segregation is the “ARC” of good internal control.
