I can't believe there are 3 test banks out there with 3 different answers! Wow, we are getting our $$ worth.

@Eliabraham, I had my best score in BEC due to the little secret that's not a secret at all. You just have to practice different questions. That's the best way for the brain to remember something as silly as COGS/Avg. Inv =Inventory Turnover ratio. I'll never ever forget this because I just did the calculations again and again, including AICPA released questions from as far as 2006. Unless you have a photographic memory, there's no magic bullet for BEC, and the other monsters.

    CPA - Since 2015
    CISA - Smashed 2012
    CIA - Passed 2015

@23K i had the same problem in the beginning after taking audit. BEC is so different from AUD and you just have to get used to it. It's challenging in the beginning especially with cost accounting and a little bit of Financial management, but if you just stick through it, it definitely gets better. I try to do as many progress test as i can and review my notes several times a week just to drill the information into my head. I'm also thinking of creating a cheat sheet for all the formulas. Luckily i was already familiar with the ratios studying for FAR and AUD so i feel more comfortable with them.

    Becker, Ninja Audio + Notes

    FAR: 80 (Aug 2013)
    AUD: 91 (Nov 2013)
    BEC: 79 (Feb 2014)
    REG: 80 (May 2014)

    Any advice??

My last BEC score was a 73 (such a painful number). My ‘weakest' areas were: info tech, economics and writing. Due to the snow storm on Jan 22nd, my exam is now rescheduled for Feb 4th. I'm so thankful for the extra study time, but at the same time I don't know what I should be focusing on. I basically memorized all the questions in the Becker software (which wasn't benefiting me at all) so I decided to purchase the Wiley Test bank. I also use NINJA notes and flash cards. On the Wiley practice test I have been averaging a 76 which puts knots in my stomach since its so close to the dreaded 73. Im not sure how else to go about boosting up my grade. Any tips or tricks to share?

Hi everyone. I'm taking BEC again in less than a month and getting pretty overwhelmed with all the formulas. I didn't memorize many the first time I took BEC and I believe that's why I failed. This is too much information to retain.
