Guess I’ll kick it off!

Scheduled to take BEC on 4/19. It’s my last test so I’m putting as much study time in as I can. If I pass I get promoted, if I don’t pass I don’t get promoted, so the pressure is on!!

Hi everyone! I am planning to start BEC 4/15 and take the exam around 5/31! I just passed REG (first section I have attempted). I am a tax accountant so that helped a bit i'm sure. Anyway, hope i'm doing this in the right order and really hope I have given myself enough time!

Okay, this would be my x numbers of times taking BEC. I am getting another 69 again. I hate BEC! I am not sure why I can't go above 70 or just kick the beast. My last exam was extremly hard on all three testlets. Most of them are half page long. The only weakness is corporate governance in all MCs. I hate WC where I am always score at weakness. I will just try one more time and one last time… in April.. 🙁

I am joining this thread to keep myself accountable and be motivated while I push through BEC –

@sw100177 – I totally understand your frustration… This will be my 7th time taking BEC… with my scores 56, 68,68,68,73,73… as you can see…i am beyond frustrated… my apparent weakness is IT… UGH…

BEC is my last exam, and I hoping to be done with this!

I am currently using Becker, supplementing with Ninja Audio and Wiley Test Bank.

I started B1 last night… it was painful…

OMG, debzzzzz, we are on the same boat.. except you got some 73 and I still have AUD to work on. IT itself is very hard, qusetions come from out of the planet all the time. But…let's fight together and kill the monster!

@sw100177 – my WC is always comparable… i am not sure how accurate that is though because I am always struggling with the topic… maybe I am just really good at BSing?

Mine is 04/04/13 CA.. what is your planning on study this time? I am planning to work on the test bank over and over. In addition, I will focus on the WC structure this time since it's always my weakness part.

Are you done with all the lectures?

My plan is to go through all the lectures – high level, take detailed notes, go through all the Becker MCQs, then onto Wileys MCQs. Pretty much nonstop MCQs

I'll probably spend a day to go over the WC, but not much longer than that – given that WC is only 15%… I think I should really focus on MCQs since that is my weak part…

Yes, I am done with all the lectures. With many times of “taking” the exams, (more than you, always on high 60s, at least 4 times with 69s,) I always getting those wired questions out of the blue. Since I already have 3 notebooks with the same info, I might just focus on the practice MCQs, too.

I have 4 weeks left to study BEC, I am currently re-writing Ninja notes, when I am done, hopefully Friday night. I will spend 2 weeks on MCQs and 2 weeks of reviewing/WC.

So I stared studying monday (11th) and its not going well!! I have only made thru 2 hours of lecture!

I am having troubles leaving work unfinished at the end of the day to study…need to get in gear, this is my last exam and work gets Evan busier a week after my exam! (April 15)

Best advice is to go through everything once. Do the MCQ's and maybe one (not all three) simulations per section. I just don't believe you should have to do all three per section if you are a good enough writer.

Then once finished, during your review take a day to reread a different BEC chapter and understand (UNDERSTAND) each subtopic. Write the examples out so you see the process – it's exactly how the MCQ's you do will be formatted.

I'm in the middle of final review and that's what I've been doing. Go over a section and then practice the MCQ's, checking off ones I missed in order to attack them again. Slowly but surely, I'm getting more and more comfortable with B2 and B3.
