    Guess I’ll kick it off!

Scheduled to take BEC on 4/19. It’s my last test so I’m putting as much study time in as I can. If I pass I get promoted, if I don’t pass I don’t get promoted, so the pressure is on!!

Good luck to everyone taking BEC this quarter!

WhenISay: I hear you on that one, buddy. I'm to the point that if I don't know it now, another day of studying probably won't help. I am just working MCQ's at this point to pass the time. I hope luck plays out for the both of us. I'm going to walk out of BEC on Wednesday and check my FAR score and hopefully see a pass! Keep plugging through this material. If I remember right your using Becker, correct? I would suggest supplementing some WTB if you can. I am just using the free trial and have been through the questions like 2 times already in the last day but the focus is on a lot of different topics not covered in Becker material. I don't know if I should panic or be assured that I've been doing alright on the test bank. lol

    Here's to hoping!

With a week to go? I am feeling you guys. I even stopped watching the Lectures, beacuse I think I am wasting time. And doing the MC in the wiley book and some from the passmaster alternating. Pulled out flash cards from 2007 when I was taking CIMA exams and those were a killer. I had forgotten how stressfull Cost and Management accounting can be, how far fetched some of the concepts were. I decided I am not gonna look at those too complex for CPA (my language for stick with Peter and Cindy) they will push me through to the finish line.

I hope I can do this. I need this. I can't quit. Dedication, hard work = rewards

Anymore tips you can share, with 4 full days free before the exam.

I really wish I could have taken my exam this week, I should have rescheduled it while I had the chance. I'm scared I am going to start to confuse myself.

I've been through the homework 6 times, and am going to go through it one more time… then starting Saturday, I'm just going to review the book up until my exam on Wednesday and re work the questions that I have marked.

I hope my exam doesn't have any items that aren't covered in Becker!

@bcjasper09 … Good luck! Let us know if you think Becker was sufficient! Thanks

Do you have Becker also? I was shocked at how Wiley seemed to focus on some different concepts than Becker and did not even mention some of the concepts Becker stressed in their MCQ's. I don't know if its just because I had the free trial but I think I did like 700 MCQ's? Averaged an 87% so I'm thinking Becker is going to power me through this exam! I'm currently studying for my last college final tomorrow and than will simply review notes and do some marked questions. Waiting is the hardest. If I were you I'd just keep alternating. Finish the lectures, however, because there are some good tips to pick up that the MCQ's alone might not point out.

I was going to start looking at the Wiley questions ( I am using Becker self study), but I didn't want to stress myself out with “different” material… I felt like Becker had me prepared for REG and AUD..

So I guess I will just have to wait to test date to see … Sigh.

Shanta_J: I felt the same. I thought they did a really good job on all other sections but I needed new exposure to questions because I'd been through Becker 3 times. There is no harm in different exposure… may help you with term recognition if you get a question on the exam that you don't recognize.

@bcjasper09, you did all the Wiley questions in the test bank and Becker I think you are more than well prepared because you were able to get 87%. So stop stressing. You will be fine let us how it goes. Let me leave all of you and hit the books.

    Ciao!!!

@bcjasper09 You are a BEC champ!!!! I can't wait to see how hard you dominated this exam when the scores come out 6/7!!! 🙂

I have one module left in the Wiley text and I've been dreading this one…Module 47: CVP Analysis, Variable/Absorption costing, Budgeting/Forecasting, Standards/Variances, and project management. At least I'll be done with the textbook this week, so that's a positive right? 😉 Yaeger Cram for BEC rocks, Cindy is a great instructor and makes this dry and super boring material tolerable! It's worth checking out and so far it's really helping!

    Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂

Mints did you use the same study method you outlined in Audit for BEC? I feel I am running out of time.

Ugh CVP, Variance analysis… that stuff is so dry. I mean I thought we were taking the CPA (Certified PUBLIC Accountant) Exam.. not the CMA (there is a CMA right? lol). I have faith in everyone in this thread. We'll all be just fine. I will be sure to let you guys know how things go… although I am a little concerned with the WC. Not that I'm a poor writer, I just feel like not studying for it will = poor results but as many have said that isn't the case. I think I might just read some correct responses for a refresher.

Hey all! So I'm taking BEC for the first time this Friday. Wondering if there's anything else I should do between now and then (that I'm not already doing.) here's what I've done so far: watched the lectures, read the book and taken notes, done the MCQ book twice through, I'm on my 6th rewrite of ninja notes and I've taken 3 practice exams on Wiley online. I plan on one or two more rewrites of my ninja notes to really pound it home and at least 4-6 more practice exams (so another 300-450 MCQs). Sound good to everyone? Or is there something else I'm missing?

    FAR: PASSED!! 64, 68, 79 on 2/27/13!
    AUD: PASSED!! 73, 93 on 4/5/13!!!
BEC: PASSED!! 75 (phew) on 5/24/13!
REG: PASSED!!! 77 on 8/7/13 I AM DONE!!!!!

    Experience: got it!
Ethics Exam: PASSED on first try (what a waste of money)

Hello folks!! Taking BEC on Saturday – any tips from people that have recently taken the exam and passed? I'm using becker self-study. For the past 6 weeks ive studied about 20-25 hours a week. My plan for the next few days is to do as many progress tests, 2 final exams, and memorize!!!! Review simulations for memo portion of exam. I'm nervous – feel like i've passed the ‘easier' one audit!!!
