jeffKeymasterGuess I’ll kick it off!
Scheduled to take BEC on 4/19. It’s my last test so I’m putting as much study time in as I can. If I pass I get promoted, if I don’t pass I don’t get promoted, so the pressure is on!!
Good luck to everyone taking BEC this quarter!

MelansMemberHello all! I start studying this week for BEC. I have attempted various parts of this exam several times over the past few years. Hoping it goes better this time. Started off with what I thought would be one of the easier sections, so I could get a win and hopefully stick with it till I finish all of them. I feel like I have been dragging this CPA exam along WAY too long, ready to be done with it and move on with my career.
I am opting for Becker's online class this time versus self study maybe the extra structure will help me out? It does seem to go really fast, and needs at least 30 hours a week. I work full time. Any thoughts on juggling it all? Anyone else gone this route with a full time job? Any input is welcome, I feel overwhelmed at the moment.

TenkeyzMember@Melans – You can do it. I work full time for a large financial institution, I have a wife and a two year old daughter so I understand making the time to study can be difficult. I have been taking the Becker live classes and what I've been doing on the weekdays is studying for about an hour and half before work, get in another 30 mins over lunch and then study for another 1 hour and half after work or in the evening. Over the weekend I try to get about 6-8 hours in on Saturday and another 4-6 on Sunday. It takes time, commitment, and to be honest you have to be a bit selfish but if it were easy everyone would be a CPA! I've had a couple of misfires before I got “serious” and made passing the exam my top priority. When I passed AUD in January I proved to work, family, friends and myself that the time I had been putting in and will put it is worth it. Hope this helps and best of luck to you.

MelansMember@Tenkeyz – Thanks, Before work is impressive. I was thinking at lunch and after work for 2-3 hours. and then on weekends for as much as I could stand it, or as much as I was honestly absorbing info. Specifically using weekends for lectures and practice tests (as I would have more un-interrupted hours). I plan on even getting a slight head start today before the class technically begins.
And this time, I feel so done with attempts that go awry, I am hoping pure frustration fuels me to the end. And actually passing one I think will really help.

AnonymousInactiveGuys I am having a hard time correlating Becker to Wiley MCQ for BEC. Some chapters / modules are a snap while others it takes forever to pinpoint the topics. for instance; Becker Chapter 3 .. Its all over the place in wiley book. anyone have this issue? suggestions?
Also does it seem like Becker just drags it out and focuses on needless content while Wiley condenses it but hits with much harder questions.

sdgh1826MemberAny suggestions with a week left? I'm going through the homework for the third time, averaging in 80%-90% for B1 – B3. I really feel I need to hit Wiley's IT questions again. Just nervous that I might forget the formula's if I don't keep doing their MCQs (I did make a compressed formula sheet). As messy as B6 is, it's an important chapter.
This is my second take for the section. Scored a 100% on three of Becker's writing sims but was rated as “Comparable” on my score report. I feel I'm understanding the concepts behind the computations better than last time, but this exam is sooo “out there”.
What would you guys do? Nail formulas (again), IT later, do progress tests? I have Wiley TB and Ninja Notes. Hopefully no OT or any drama at work for this week. Thanks everyone!
