    Guess I’ll kick it off!

Scheduled to take BEC on 4/19. It’s my last test so I’m putting as much study time in as I can. If I pass I get promoted, if I don’t pass I don’t get promoted, so the pressure is on!!

Good luck to everyone taking BEC this quarter!

When putting together the BEC exam, I'm pretty sure the AICPA said, “Oh what's the most random mix of business concepts we can throw together?” Cost accounting, operations management, economics, finance, internal audit, and IT – what a hodgepodge of crap.

3 weeks left and I'll start my final review this week. I've really slacked with this one compared to the others…time to cram.

    F - 85 (11/2012)
    R - 87 (1/2013)
    A - 92 (2/2013)
    B - 90 (4/2013)

    DONE!

    @ Tootsie

I am in the same boat. This seem to be the most difficult section of CPA for me…..IT stuff is killing me. I am not confident at all, it never happened to me in any previous CPA exams 🙁 :(. I am very scared and frustrated.

11 days to my exam…hopefully 25 (if not 25 then 28) days until I find out if I'm done or not. These next 11 days need to be productive!!!

welp. That's it. I just can't study anymore. It's either enough to pass or I'm going to repeat. Either way, I'll be so relieved when this test is over and I can finally freaking relax ffs.

taking the exam on Saturday.. originally on April 1st but had to push it back because of Becker sections B1-B3..

I'm feeling confident but and most worried with variances, financial valualations (B6) and of course written communications..

hoping Becker's questions are much harder than the actual..

Also pushed my exam due to travelling for work and feeling uncomfortable with quite a few topics. This section has too many random topics. Transitioning from one chapter to the next is like dealing with oil and water.

My new date is 4/10 so I have a 2 more days to finish reviewing questions and look at the WC portion. Haven't started that piece as yet.

    All the very best, everyone.

Hi all, quick question for those of you who have already sat for an exam or two. I'm taking BEC this Thursday (it'll be my first exam) and had a question as I was going over some Becker problems. I've ran into several questions that ask you to calculate a PV and was wondering what the best way to do this using the exam calculator? There is no “e” button to use for discounting or inputs (n,i,etc.). Maybe I'm just starting to lose it, who knows, but thanks in advance for any input!

    @badger-cpa

for present value, they question will be supplemented with PV factor ,

but you should know how to calculate it if they give you the annuity factor and the question need the Pv for one value

    and the stuff like these

it should be in your review material

    FAR 86 May 12
    AUD 84 August 12
    REG 80 Jan 13
    BEC 76 April 13
    And am done !!!
